When he says Bondo is he actually using toxic bondo or a special mixture of skin safe material?

"Bondo" is industry slang for thickened Pros-Aide adhesive.

The term Bondo is indeed used for a brand name Auto Body filler. I can see where the confusion comes from. Dick Smith often referred this thickened pros aid paste as “Cabo-Patch” and he came up the mix for the material so I go with that terminology. The “Bondo” slang came from the Joe Blasco school. It really does not matter what you call it as long as you are not using auto body filler on someone 😁

Also...if making your own, use a respirator for mixing it. Mixed is inert, but fumed silica is hazardous if inhaled by itself.

Is RTV silicone safe for molds?

"RTV silicone" covers a wide spectrum of materials and "molds" can refer to a expansive list of applications. For the process in this video we used PlatSil 73-15 silicone which is safe for this process.
