I personally blame Luke Holland lol. But seriously, once he started gaining popularity the whole Super-HD-Multiple-Camera-Angles-Spliced-Together thing exploded. When I was 15 or so, no covers were like that. All one angle and raw. Noticeable mistakes even on the really good ones. I think the only time it's called for to have multiple angles and takes spliced together on a videosong is if it's an original song, not a cover.
