Even if he was taught the wrong accent, he could've just listened to the real Ted Kennedy talk and then record himself, and later compared the two. That could've solved the problem and he could've hired a different coach. Excuses and deflecting responsibility is never a good sign.

Yes, I was not impressed at all with Perry's portrayal of EMK. He seemed like he was slurring a lot (then again EMK WAS known to be a drunk). EMK is Teddy's initials, in case you didn't know - Edward (Ted) Moore Kennedy.
