Bruce became obsessed with succeeding also due to his competition with Steve McQueen and from reading personal development and motivational books. The rejection for the part of Kwai Chang Caine in the Kung Fu tv series drove him over the top.

Bruce would have been bigger than any actor at the time had he lived. Nobody would have been able to keep up with him due to his creativity and martial arts abilities.

@@axelstone3131 I believe that. It is so true. Brandon was also on his way to action movie genre dominance had he been alive today as well. It's a shame they were only here briefly.

It seems kind of obvious that Bruce suffered from an attachment trauma due to his fathers failure to meet his needs in childhood. I would not be surprised if Bruce Lee had traits of various personality disorders or an insecure avoidant attachment style. These people often confuse independence with self reliance which could explain why Bruce was absolutely positively determined to make it in the United States on his own. By the way I did read Matthew Poly’s book about Bruce Lee in 2018. It is hands-down the only book you need to read about Bruce Lee.

total rubbish, and certainly a text like: this is the only book about Lee that you must read. the very fact that he advertises himself as the only true biography of Bruce proves the author's emotional disturbance as well as his perfidious desire for profit. the man was stalking Lee's family but I never saw him with Linda! apart from the information in the book, there are many hypotheses and the author's own thoughts that may not have anything to do with the character of bruce Lee. The mere fact that the author says that Beti ting pei told him that she had an affair with lee proves that I said I had a unicorn in my garden. there is no recording or evidence and its aim was to show Bruce as an average man to comfort the hearts of readers. false assumption in advance! desire for money profit. the very fact that the book is advertised should turn on the red light for you. likewise, Linda's 2 husband only got involved with her to get closer to Lee's info and write a book that he has been promoting so far out of profit and fame! he didn't even have access to medical documents, he didn't take pictures and writes nonsense! the nurse in his book about Lee's death also writes nonsense and his own suspicions, not facts. don't be fooled. a lot of Lee's books are crap for profit. listen to what people who knew and stayed with him had to say, not people who still want to earn money on him because he was famous. don't believe jealous people like Norris or Vic. Luis was also jealous. a lot of lies about Lee had come to light over the years. mathew polly is a fake guy

Michael I see where you’re coming from. I’ve read most of the books out there on Lee and they are mostly crap, agreed. I should rephrase to say that Polly’s book is just the best one I’ve read so far, including the documentaries. I’m not a psychologist and I cannot diagnose anything, but my assertions about Lee are just based on everything I’ve ever read about him. They’re my own opinions only
