@HouseisMartin Back then at the time this video was taken, I was a big fan that wrote him a lot, and he'd write back every now and then. Scott, the manager, had me go backstage because I had brought christmas gifts for everyone, and the guys told him about it in advance. Plus, they probably all knew how badly I wanted to meet all of them. Now I'm kinda friends with Matt and he puts me on the guest list and gets me photo passes and stuff. They're all really nice dudes.

Uh.. Their manager knew I was coming to the show with stuff for the guys because Schneck and Thiessen told him. So when I talked to him I asked about him taking the stuff to the guys and he said I get to go too. But I had to wait for them to take their showers because that's the first thing they do after shows.. Matt waited to take a shower to talk to me.. That was awesome.

I mean this with all do respect, but you got the chance to interview him and you ask him questions like this? Usually bands aren't very pleased with these (see Cristofer Drew). Fortunately, Matt T is a kind heart and a good sport. But speaking as a journalist, when you get an opportunity like this, you always want to ask questions that cater to the interviewee, that relate to their life and what they do - questions that show you have an interest in them; not "what's your favorite color?"

lol I haven't logged on this account in so long. This wasn't a real interview. I was just a teenager at the time who they let come back stage after the show because I was a crazy big fan. Literally a child. I just asked if I could record him asking some random questions that I wanted to know and that I could share with my friends too. Just a silly video from my childhood. :)

Actually he wasn't in that band. He just helps write songs for Adam Young. (Owl City isn't a band.) Source- a year or two with a serious case of Owl fever :)

And back when I didn't know him irl, and wrote him constantly, he usually would only reply when I was really down and he wanted to make me feel better. It was pretty rare to get replies. Seriously, best bet, least annoying way, talk to him in person after a show.

@JerBushell89 Yup, I pretty much used to.. Just like you seem to be stalking these comments. But, like I believe I've already said, this was years ago. I've grown up and gotten over my "OH MY GOD IT'S MATT THIESSEN" phase. I don't even care for Relient K much anymore. I mostly go to see old friends and see the guys. Matt and I are actually buds now and he gets me tickets and photo passes for free whenever I want.

well, we kept switching off and letting other people take dates. originally, idaho was my friends date to sell merch. washington was mine. and then idaho was my friends again, but we all just did stuff each day because it's fun. and then our other friend, ann, just decided she'd help cause she was there too and wanted something to do. ummm.. I'm not sure who told you where to go, cause I gave directions a lot, and so did my friends. haha
