I love Matthew West, he was blessed by God with an amazing voice and an incredible talent, this story is amazing. I think it is absolutely amazing that he takes other people's stories and uses them to make a difference. I grew up in an abusive household and turned to anorexia and cutting to deal with my life. I spent from the age fifteen to twenty three hurting the body that the Lord gave me and I fell flat on my face before I was able to climb back out of it. After I was raped and lost my mom I gave up, there would be no more trips to treatment, no more doctor's feeding me when I wouldn't feed myself, and I talked to God one night saying that I was done...I didn't deserve His love or anyone elses and I wouldn't see the next morning. By God's grace I woke up the next day in the intensive care unit and made my way back to the light and realized that God hadn't left me. The years of anorexia destroyed my body leaving me now that I am blessed with a husband, child, and recovery being fed through a central line in my chest needing an eventual five organ transplant, but I don't regret it. I try to use my story to help others who are struggling to know that they can get through this, that God is there even in the darkest of moments and HE isn't leaving us, He wants us to come to Him, in my case bloody, starved and broken, and He can help us put ourselves back together again and give us the strength to forgive those who hurt us and most of all forgive ourselves. Thank you Matthew West for doing this, I'm twenty seven and I talk to girls everyday who think they are worthless and broken, deserving of the abuse they are inflicting on themselves and your music offers hope.

+ChristopherJones I understand completely...I lost my mom when I was 21. It has been eight years and it is still hard...I lost my grandma a second mom a year ago. Everyone has a story that is important...including you. I've dealt with a lot over the years, but it is just my struggle and God is still good even though my health is bad and I might not live to see my son grow, but he is a beautiful four year old miracle!

I swear Wally EVERYTIME hear your voice on the radio, I run to youtube to see if the guy on the videos, really has your voice. LOL. You don't look like your voice, and I was watching your videos like Inspector Gadget to see if the lips lined up with your voice. I thought I had you, but it was just my sucky internet service from Time Warner Cable.-_-. However, your funny, and i'm glad your voice doesn't match your look, because it makes me smile!
