I forgot to mention in the vid that I coated the POR 15 on the fan housing with chassis black. The satin finish hides a lot of minor blemishes.

I never take off the lid of POR15- I just punch a hole in the lid and pour what I want and then tape over the hole when done-

Good answer. 😀 I will use that idea on the next large can of POR15 I get. I have had to use the can opener on more than one unopenable paint can. 😰

Nice work on the heater. The fan motor still works on my Merc but I"ve never opened it up to see how good the wiring is. I might have missed it but are those new "bullet" terminal ends you put on the wires?

I don't doubt your fan motor runs fine. I was very surprised at the quality of the motor. They are really well built motors. Yes those were new brass bullet connector ends. I got them at the Brillman Company. They have many electrical parts and wiring for old cars, trucks and tractors. That is where I bought the wire that I am using to rewire the 53.
