Josh could fit Breath o' the Wild's Link's personality. Josh sounds like he could BE Link in Breath o' the Wild w/ that heroism Link's got. Link's got the common background as commoner while Canute was royalty. The similarities could be there, like blond hair to have in a bun or ponytail. Breath o' the Wild's Link been a young villager from the countryside, a royal knight's son (but not an aristocrat), a young right-handed hero, a champ, AND comedian, so I think Josh Grelle AND Uchiyama Kouki could nail his personality perfectly (but always talk way more casually like a punk (not formal like Canute), like "Whatcha doin'?", "How ya doin'?", "Checkin' out?", "Just a guy takin' a walk.", "Namen ja nee ze, temee.", "Temee no nakama ja nee no ka yo?", "Ain't got all damn day.", "Gotta help Zelda 'cuz I wanna see her smile again!", "Oh yeah, I 'member now, Zelda.", AND "This giant horse's power's just so damn cool!").

I do like King Canute's turn because he made it pretty clear in his head was these important ideals but he was scared to speak them and have horrible consequences. When they veil is lifted he's just certain of himself, not putting on a show of confidence. It seems rushed, but I think Josh's version lined up with that cape whip so it didn't look like a bitter child.

Ooh, this is the hardest one to pick a favorite yet. Netflix Canute sounds better at being timid and effete, but Sentai Canute does the transition to sounding stronger and more determined better, in those moments Netflix sounds a lot more unsure and not confidence-inspiring. I'd say the japanese is noticeably on a different level, unlike in other comparisons where the english was about on par. But the Sentai script I think is better. Sounds less generic and more natural.

Japanese VA went hella serious when he became serious which I always found odd. There should be a balance of both. No person comes from soft to serious without stumbling first. Griffin Burns does that really well.

Personally, I think Uchiyama Kouki AND Josh Grelle could nail the role as Link in Breath o' the Wild. 'That Link's a blondie w/ hair to have in a ponytail, a right-handed character, a guy in blue, a guy in a green outfit w/ a green hat, a guy in love w/ a princess w/ blond hair AND green eyes who's been in love w/ HIM, a young amnesiac w/ a snarky, rude, sassy, cheeky side to 'im, a guy wounded who got saved from death, a young dude who looks like 17-20 years old, AND an experienced fighter who'd been through so much on his journeys. So I think Josh's got the potential ta match that Link's personality. Uchiyama Kouki could nail that link's personality, too. I'd prefer Link bein' very casual (AND talkin' like a Yankii punk in Japanese), very informal (no proper i-n-g sounds), like, "Whatcha doin'?", "How ya doin'?", "Checkin' out?', "Get talkin'.", "So cool!", "If I'm goin' by what SHE said, 'slike a sight that's unmatched in this world.", "Zelda's gunna be so damn proud o' me.", "Gotta have Zelda back 'cuz I wanna see her smile w/ my own eyes!", AND "Oh hell yeah, I 'member now, Zelda." Link's gotta talk w/ the 'Merican accent 'cuz he's a regular dude, a commoner, AND a guy w/ a very humble birth as a commoner (a regular somebody from the usual background that's not nobility or royalty).

Griffin sounds too much like a stereotypical shonen anime. Sentai conveys way more feeling and depth. Josh gives Canute true emotion.

I honestly think that the voice acting is way better for the Netflix dub. Idk maybe it’s just cause I’m more used to the Netlfix dub but idk the sentai dub just sounds abridged and really painful to listen to. Everyone says sentai had the better script tho since it fit the time period better, but idk I felt they said way more in a sentence that was necessary to the point where it just sounded cringe.

I think Josh Grelle's Cnut has a more believable transformation, emotion, and overall delivery. Griffins isn't too bad, but the actual script seems to hamper his delivery as well. Ono's just sounds kinda generic. Kinda too strong , but I think he sounds slightly better when meek. EDIT: Oh, he’s Giorno. Makes sense. Gonna be a KINGSTAR.
