As impressive as it is, shredding through the chorus whilst singing, I hope this isn't how you're going to perform this in Manchester on 30th 😬🫢 This is one of my faves off Ascendency and belting out vocals in the chorus, contrasting with the heavy vox and riff in the verses is what serves the dynamics of the song best (imo oc 🙏)

How does Matt downtune every pre-In Waves album half a step lower? Has he saved all the songs locally on his PC and downtuned them so that all the songs would be half a step down?

Possible, or maybe he loads them into his DAW on a track that has a pitchshifter.

Hey dudes, you can basically put any song into a track on a recording software and just downtune it with a few clicks from the mouse. It isn't that hard.

Playing is so clean. But god damn the whispering cleans are killing me. I love trivium, and love Matt. But I really, really wish they’d bring in a singer. They’ve wrote some absolute masterpieces, nobody can ever take that away from them. Respect Matt for trying to do it nonetheless.

It's not whispering, lol. What you hear on the album is multiple layers of vocals. A louder live setting with Reverb and him pushing a little harder will sound great.
