Hey, great videos I’m a big fan. I have a similar setup and I use aluminum oxide and the paint started to peel on the inside. It wasn’t from me pointing through gun at the paint and blasting it off, the red powder coat that comes on the cabinet literally peeled and flaked off in big pieces. There is some colored corrosion spotting under the paint. I am in the process of stripping all of the paint and thinking of applying either a few coats of flex seal or a vehicle undercoating and then putting up rubber liners on the walls. Wondering what others have done to protect their cabinet and if u use a rust converter with my water would I not have my paint flake off?

Hi. I h ave a question. Which slurry pump did you used. How many liters or gallons does it need to do per hour. And how much pressure does it has to deliver. Most of them do between 7 and 13 metres which is (70 and 130 Kpa or 10psi and 19psi in the netherlands we use metres or Kpa) and does it actually has to deliver any pressure? Or does the compressor provide a suction effect through the pistol?

I had my local shop vapor blast my CB750 carb bodies and bowls. They look amazing. Should I run them through the ultrasonic cleaner before putting them back on the bike? I'm not sure if the blasting material can get caught in small passages or if they're fine to go back on the bike as is.

So what is the difference between open loop and closed loop? why is one set of plans more than the other? How do we know how to decide on open or closed loop?
@HTMR5 жыл бұрын
Open loop - requires water hook up from garden hose. Overflow water will need to be disposed of. Closed loop - self contained water source. Automated overflow valve. Overflow water gets recycled back. No operator input or work required like open loop. Closed loop costs more and is a little more involved. Plan costs more since there is more content (5.5hrs total) If you have fresh water hookup and a drain nearby, go open loop, otherwise go closed loop. You can later convert to closed loop if you feel the need. That is what I did.

Hello Matthew. My bike is a honda VF750s (Sabre V45) 1982. I just bought it from a guy and know wherry little about this bike. When I bought it the cylinders was stuck because it has bean standing still for a time. I got it to turn around and it`s starting fine now. The engine sounds ok, no wierd sounds at all. But it has a problem, I think this has to do with the carborettors, I have done nothing to them yet. It runs ok on high rpm but it stalls sometimes on idle, and it`s smokes a little and it smells gasoline from the exhaust, bad smell too. Do you have any tip or know what this could be? There is no leak to see. My plan is to take the carborettors of and clean and check them. Ps. This is not important but I have a small side question for you. Is there something I can do to get a better sound out off this bike. I had a 1975 cb100 once and that bike sounded like thunder compare to this. This vf750s reminds me of a baby bike or something. Thank you.

To all the guys who want to save the 69 Dollars for the videoinformation I strongly suggest to do the prep work yourself. It can be done. Depending on your hourly income rate the 69 Dollars will be gone fast. I emailed with Matt first to see if this is what I need before spending the money but after 2 mails I paid the 69bucks happily. Now everyone must decide for himself. I am still in contact with Matt via email and he was very helpful so far. As an Airline pilot my income is very good but I was close to spending 8000Dollars on Commercial grade equipment until I found out that they sell you extremely overpriced stuff that you can actually find in places like home depot. The pricecurve is really steep when they sell you just a bigger box but the same pumps inside. I am restoring Jaguar V12 engines so guess what size I need to do a crankcase! Frankly speaking: if the 69 Dollars is your problem, stay away from Vapor or Dryblasting because you cannot afford the compressor that is needed to run such a box efficiently.
