Im appreciative of the air density and cfm claims, but some real dyno comparisons are what sell things like these. I ended up with mishimoto because of real hp/tq claims as with afe, my other choice. Love banks, had a few products from banks on my 24v and love what you guys do with diesel. Hp and tq numbers please!

​@@betweenthepines4000 your exactly right. I have a tuned 2018 civic & when i went to choose a CAI i did my homework & checked HP numbers against eachother. They are never any bigger than 2 to 3hp so i would guess this banks isn't much different. I'd guess no more than 5 if that. But hey, more is better than none. & if it sounds better...well hell, WIN WIN.

I’m loving this honest review. Everything from the comparison to stock (and no fear to call out the competition), the physical differences, ease of install, and the feel you get afterwards. When you compare side by side you know they did their homework designing something that’s in a class of their own. Glad to see another Banks product go to another happy customer.

I just installed the Rough Country version of this and for the $, Banks is waaaaay to expensive. Not saying their products dont do what they say for the most part but for $150 the RC version is just as good. It sounds the same and has a diesel whistle as well. 😅

I called Banks and they had NO numbers for me for added HP/TQ, etc... which I thought was disapointing. I couldnt get ANY answer from them. I would hope for like 8+ added HP/TQ

I just ordered one for my mojave the decrease in air temp advertised sold me as I live in the desert and on hot days my jeep feels really sluggish.

You'll love the power increase plus it sounds so much better and your right colder air temp = more power! You might consider wrapping the intake tube with the DEI Intake wrap it really helped my air temps on my GMC SIERRA. I made a video about it. Let me know whatcha think once you get it installed. I have this same cai. Sounds SO much better than stock even noticed a slight increase in mpg and feels like it has a little more 'get up and go' to it as well.

You'll love the Banks CAI it really made a big difference in sound, plus I swear our mpgs and power increased too. I actually just cleaned my filter around the 20,000 mile mark, and it's easy to remove it and it was easy to clean with Simple Green and I air dried it. I have to say nice video man. There are only three CAI systems I would use. Rough Country being the first at around $150 for the price and how they work on a Gladiator. The next has dyno proven power increases of 11.5 hp, 10 lbs ft tq, at their respective peaks. With greater increases at different rpm’s, most as you get over 1,500-2,000, that relates to the engines speed at highway cruising speeds. Thats priced at $390! Then the Banks, I have not seen any dyno charts for actual proven increases, but Gale Banks make very good products that are tested rigorously. But the most expensive.

Yeah pretty much, it only takes 10 minutes to remove it, it's not bad at all.

Personally if there's NO added HP/TQ or fuel economy it's a waste of money. Unlike in the 80's and 90's, adding on an air cleaner and exhaust would add like 30+ hp and tq.

Yes, I researched all of them that I could find and I went with Banks because of the dry filter, the size of the filter and diameter of the tube and the plastic tube doesn't get heat soaked like the metal ones. Also, I am not a fan of oiled filters, and I wanted a CAI from a company like BANKS because Gail Banks actually tests their products. Hope this helps, please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE! :)

Regarding the sound, at the time of this video is/was your exhaust system stock? Sorry if you already mentioned and I missed it. I like the fact the you keep the stock plastic front intake tube, most of the other CAIs for the 3.6 force you to remove that. Thanks for the video, making my purchasing decision much easier.

The banks website says that it is for 2018-2020 years but they are currently working on it for 2021. I would call them and see if they have an update on when it will be compliant for 2021 because it's a really amazing cold air intake!

You can hear the induction for sure it sounds just as good as an exhaust in my opinion. We hit 19.4 mpg to so we noticed and increase in power and fuel economy. Thanks for watching, please like and sub.

I was thinking my ideal world would be a CAI, Throttle Body spacer and matching exhaust from Banks. Question: It kinda looks like the CAI has a built-in Throttle body space. Am I dreaming or is this true? Thanks. Great video!

No it doesn't have one built it. Plus I don't think you'll have enough room to install a spacer with the banks cai it seems to tight since the tube is so much bigger than the stock one. You'll love the Bank CAI it's worth every penny! Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.
