Matthew’s need to give Martin a raise because I’m about to buy some stands thanks to this video.

I recently bought a medium heavy-duty stand from Sammy’s Camera in Pasadena on my way to a shoot. For a while, I’ve been using the stand that came with my Flashpoint AD600 Pro, and while it’s a beast, it’s also heavy like one. On my recent shoot, the new stand made it a lot easier to move my light around and was less cumbersome overall. I felt less overwhelmed and more agile. Although I considered the more heavy-duty stand, I believe I made the right choice. I won’t know for sure until I try it, but with this stand, everything felt more run-and-gun. That day, I felt more able to create and adjust the lighting on the fly without stressing over the weight. Plus, I didn’t have to worry about my wife, who assists me, being overpowered by the C-stand and me continuously having to take over to make adjustments because of the weight.

You’ve got a customer now! Word of mouth led me here, and the demo of the stands confirmed that Matthew’s is a rarity in this market- true quality built to last a lifetime. AND your MERF is incredible- no other stand like it on the market. No wonder it’s back ordered everywhere! But truly, while Matthew’s sold the product, Martin sold the brand. Enjoyed every second of what was supposed to be a very dry and boring comparison video. Big fan of y’all now! Please don’t ever change!

What would you suggest as a stand for shotgun mic boom pole support that I can use indoors and outdoors on uneven surfaces. . I've been looking at C stands but I am not convinced that they will be the best outdoors. Thanks.

Never thought I would enjoy watching a light stand video so much at one point; I actually thought that was Robert De Niro so convincing 🙂

Came here to see the reverse stand because I'm thinking about purchasing. Wasn't expecting to be cracking up the whole time 😆 Everything about this video is A-grade: from Martin's natural hilariousness to the very helpful and considerate timestamps, it's really given me confidence that this company (that I've never heard of before today) know what they're doing. You've got a customer AND a subscriber. Martin, keep making videos! 😁

Martin is probably a fun friend to have, but for an info video this was a little over the top. It could have been shortened by a 1/3 if he had stuck closer to the facts... I would a have appreciated that. Anyway, it looks like I'll be buying more Matthews stands. Thanks for the comparo.
