Which model is this C-stand. I just called BH and they tell me they're not aware of such a model where the legs are not spring loaded. Secondly, when you slide the rocky leg up, is there a pin or some mechanism that activates for the lower legs to lock them together?

This is genius! Way more expensive than speed rail, but for us small guys that can't carry a truck load of speedrail sizes to every shoot, this is really a great idea. I especially like it as a wall spreader.

Love the max menace arm! Questions- Regarding the lamp adaptor arm, is it designed to not need a quickpin? I always add a ⅜ inch bolt because a dedicated pin is not included. Will the spring loaded locks suffice? They seem like they would, but in the video Richard uses the quicken in one mode, but not in the other.

Yall should invent a solution to keep the ratchet hook from falling off the bottom of the combo. I've seen people use a carabiner and a daisy chain lanyard, but you guys could probably invent something way better.

I recently bought a medium heavy-duty stand from Sammy’s Camera in Pasadena on my way to a shoot. For a while, I’ve been using the stand that came with my Flashpoint AD600 Pro, and while it’s a beast, it’s also heavy like one. On my recent shoot, the new stand made it a lot easier to move my light around and was less cumbersome overall. I felt less overwhelmed and more agile. Although I considered the more heavy-duty stand, I believe I made the right choice. I won’t know for sure until I try it, but with this stand, everything felt more run-and-gun. That day, I felt more able to create and adjust the lighting on the fly without stressing over the weight. Plus, I didn’t have to worry about my wife, who assists me, being overpowered by the C-stand and me continuously having to take over to make adjustments because of the weight.
