why dont you just fold instead of applying pressure on the FT? its not like you're fighting for bounties? you have a 3:1 lead on the guy sitting In 2nd on the FT and you decide to open rip k4hearts... ofcourse you will run into hands better than yours or even mediocre hands that know you're shoving so wide? Prolly would've won if not shoving those Q2o and k4h on the FT.. huge punts the way I look at it.

How do you handle not making any money or very little money for tens of thousands of games? I mean, a year without income. i make $150k a year. no matter how good i get at poker, I'll never be able to get that every year. Obviously, you're paid to play by the site but that's not an option for anybody else..

@@joshwakirk1468 He doesn't need to make six figures to live lol, also he's not in America. If you want a real answer, dude's got multiple streams of income when you include streaming revenue and youtube revenue (his channel's metrics are going to land him in high 4-figure ranger per month), then whatever he makes as a Pokerstars partner and whatever else he has going on that's not public. Why, just why? That Q🦆-off shove on the FT was a mind-boggling & atrocious punt🤦🏼 Bro just drove all the way down the field & then punted from the opponents 2yard line on 1st & goal 😆🤯 I know it was an extremely short-stacked FT but damn man i don't see how that could have ever been a good play in ANY SITUATION! & please don't get me confused im not hating or talking shit, I WANNA SEE YOU GET SOME W'S BROTHER!!! GREAT RESULT NONETHELESS 👏👏& YOU'LL GET THE NEXT 1, LET'S GO!!!
@B0bi_0072 ай бұрын
you dont understand ICM in short handed turbo spots
@bretcheesman-wf4sz2 ай бұрын
@B0bi_007 whatever you say bud... Evidently the guy who snapped him off w/the A10o with a 4bb stack still at the table couldn't care less about ICM. I do know that folding there, looking for an even SLIGHTLY better spot, & maintaining the 2to1 chip lead while keeping that micro stack alive is far more valuable than shoving w/a crappy q high & praying the BB wakes up w/garbage & will fold. You can't just always assume the other guy cares about laddering & is going to fold basically everything just because there's a sub 5bb stack & ICM 🤦🏼. ICM isn't everything & honestly is hardly relevant when the pay jumps aren't massive. If the jumps were MUCH LARGER yes it'd be INCREDIBLY RELEVANT & a much better play!! In this particular situation though not so much, & again maintaining a 2 to 1 chip advantage on your closest opponent is FAR MORE VALUABLE than shoving in that spot, be it a turbo or not. Some of these "standard" plays/spots nowadays are exploitable AF & that's why that guy beat Matt into the pot bcuz he knew that shoving w/high-low in these ICM spots has now become a regular occurrence. It CLEARLY was the wrong play regardless of what you think you "know/understand" about short handed turbo ICM spots. Imo Q8o should be THE ABSOLUTE WORST Qhigh you shove right there & that's still questionable considering how short they were playing. Matt is WAY better than I am & I bet if you asked him now he'd say in hindsight that he'd tighten up the range a bit & would not shove that exact spot every time.
@matthewstaplespoker2 ай бұрын
I think shove or raise and then fold are the best two options! I have good reasons for shoving remember that. It's not just cause I like putting all my chips in randomly.
