You missed the most important thing. How much does it cost? Even clicking in the link I kind find any price. I need to know if it's within my price range.

nope I been looking for the clamp 3:15 sec on your video then you add a tripod ball, is what you said... I search BandH the largest place on the planet and 0 results like what you have?? also the rubber strap used to secure it.. it gets soo windy where I am that it someone times throws a chair off the balcony. The tripod will not work... Thanks!!!! SO MUCH for helping! DID you use the plate with this set up? I think I need the plate because of the wind they said!

The clamp you are asking about at 3:15 is called a super clamp (Matthews calls it a Mafer clamp) and it's available from multiple manufacturers and retailers like B&H, Adorama, Amazon, or any decent camera store. If you need a wider jaw to clamp a thicker item you might look at Kupo Super Viser Clamp with Hex Receiver, End Jaw. This style is normally called a Cardellini and is the preferred clamp on most film sets, but I'm not aware of an actual Cardellini clamp with the female receiver as I've only seen them with male studs. In the video, he just used a 3/8-16 threaded stud that comes with some super clamps, but the proper way to securely mount a tripod head is using a "threaded mounting plate" (search that and it will show up on B&H, Adorama, and Amazon(with some digging)). The reason I say "proper" is these have a larger plate with grub screws like an actual tripod allowing you to securely mount the tripod head so it doesn't easily come loose or have any play. The mount adapter is available in a few varieties that are basically all the same. It's a 5/8 hex or round pin with a 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 thread and a plate with grub screws to secure your camera or tripod head. The standard tripod head has a 3/8-16 female tread so if you get the 1/4-20 mounting plate for the flexibility to connect directly to your camera's 1/4-20 threads be sure to get the 1/4-20 to 3/8-16 adapters. The adapters I've used are: Manfrotto 208 round and hex about $35 each, "Kupo threaded mounting plate" for $16.50-21.39, and Adorama carries Flashpoint threaded mounting plate for $15 (the listing says 1/4-20, but the description states 3/8-16 you might want to clarify or buy the 1/4-20 to 3/8-16 adapters to be safe). The Flashpoint LS-BBHA baby ball head adapter $19 is also pretty cool. It allows you to mount a tripod head to a 5/8 stand, stand arm, or 1 1/8 junior receiver if you're using cine stands. The prices listed are from June 2024 at B&H since you had arleady referenced them, except for the Flashpoint which comes from Adorama. I don't have any familiarity with the strap but he said it is a Peak Design strap. When you search that on B&H it pulls up many options.

So do you need subscription to do anything with the camera or is basic setup with the app without remote access etc. free of charge?
@MatthewVandeputte
@MatthewVandeputte 8 ай бұрын
you can set up and shoot on the micro sd card without a subscription, however to stitch the images online you need a subscription

I was about to buy this camera, for construction site. But than I found out that if you tilt the camera down , you get very bad fisheye distortion. Also if you want to work on the raw footage, you need to stitch it manually. And that is a big problem. This camera is intended to semi pro, for someone that not after the highest quality. Me personally I decided to work with BIXION. And a full frame DSLR + 14mm samyang lens.

Nice package, Thanks. I assume you can turn off the timestamps in the bottom right, although for construction (and banks), that would be really useful. Where are all the birds, did they fly south? Here in Cologne Germany, we have year round crows, parrots and some ducks to get in my timelapses.

Thank you for the video, I have a seasonal Timelapse project I want to do for a local nature reserve and don't really want to do the subscription. I don't see any reason I could not download the photos and process with something like After Effects, that would work just as well right?
@MatthewVandeputte
@MatthewVandeputte Жыл бұрын
Yes but the downloads from online take a while to arrive depending on how many you select. Could take them from the sd card instead, but then stitching is an issue, I can't seem to stitch them in Lightroom or Photoshop

Thanks for the review Matt! A very interesting alternative to the more expensive construction systems that I have, will be curious to research this more. Regarding file uploads, is that through wifi? So if you place it somewhere more remote the only option would be to visit and dump the card manually? Cheers

Cheers Alex! Sure is good value for money. You can insert a sim card and upload via 4G, but as I'm in my flat with wifi I've been using that instead.

Awesome stuff! We have been using these cameras (from the 2PRO+ model to the 3 & 3PRO+) on our longterm construction timelapse jobs over at www.youtube.com/@theconstructiontimelapseco6529 for the past 2 years. We are particularly impressed with the RAW .DNG images out of the separate sensors. Although the online processing platform is nifty and the stitching is great, 80% of our application we only use one of the two lenses - to be able to process the RAW images. Would love to see a follow-up video where you process some of the RAW's?
