A wonderful reminder of my overseas flight from Vienna to Toronto. I had asked the pilots, if I could take some shots while flying over Greenland/Labrador. They not only kindly permitted (that was before 9/11), but also invited me back into the cockpit for the landing at Toronto Airport. This unforgettable experience left me in awe for the tremendous knowledge & skill of pilots. Thank you Matt, for sharing this interesting video, allowing such exciting memories.

Thank you very much Karin for your great feedback. It is really great to hear that this video revoked some good and very unique memories. That must have been a wonderful experience. Flying is a great fascination, one of the oldest dreams of mankind to be able to fly. Thank you again, Karin. I appreciate your ongoing support!!

That was an excellent video Matt, what cool and friendly pilots! Really interesting to see the full walk-around, all the cockpit details and the amount of paperwork and calculations that they must fill out/perform before the flight. And an awesome powerful takeoff, even with the derated engine settings this Fokker sounds amazing!! I love that they went for a sightseeing flight on their day off in Bern as well, it's great to see people doing something they love.

Wow, what a treat Matt! I had the chance to fly on the Fokker 100 here in the United States when it was part of the USAir fleet. Really nice aircraft.

Thank you Jon! The workload of the flight preparation was really impressive. The Fokker 100 is getting very rare nowadays. It was great to see this beauty at Bern. Oh great I am sure you enjoyed the flight in the Fokker 100. I flew once in a Swissair Fokker 100 just when they were introduced.

GREAT VÍDEO MATT !, i was starting to get sentimental because i used to be a PILOT in MEXICANA AIRLINES( now extinct), and i flew the F-100 for some years, what a great plane to fly, it was through the 90's, and i used to carry with me my JEPPESSEN with leather covers, and the REAL PAPER APPRoACH charts.............those were the days !..........thanks MATT, You almost made me cry !........as a matter of fact, my last flight (as a pilot), was in a F-100 !😪😪😪

....vunderbar, Matt.... ...very nice pilots, indeed, Matt...you need to bring them some Meitschibei as a thank- you!!...🧐🤔👀🆙🆒👍🛫😎 P.S....in typical Deutsche tradition...love how these guys really wound up those throaty Rolls-Royce turbofans and slingshot down the runway...seems like they used only 1200-1400 meters before standing that Fokker 100 on its tail...way cool!!

That was amazing Matt, coolest pilot for sure. Still amazed at the amount of pre flight prep before take off, it never gets dull. I remember back in the early 1980's on a flight back from Munich after a ski holiday in Austria they used to let us into the cockpit during the flight. I recorded some footage at about 32000 feet on a Boing 737 classic using a Panasonic VHS camcorder that I borrowed from a friend, those cameras were massive. I'll need to look for that tape now. Lol. 😊👍

Awesome video!!! I can finally say I am not jealous of you having all the fun in this video. Lol I am in cockpits a lot ! 😁 And yes , the captains have taken me on a check around . They always tease me telling me they are tired and would I take over after they have shown me things!!! Lol 😆 It is so amazing how they can remember all those buttons, etc !!!!, I know I never could !!!! People don't realize how many things the Captain and first Officer have to do before they even do a push back !!! And why they can't open the door back up for late comers. ( sometimes they can ) Once they do everything and they tell the control tower , all bets are off! I know you had a ball !! It is fun and I have made friends with many Captains! I always bring one of the Captains his favorite food 😋! A box of Fruit Loops cereal 😋! Keep up the good work Matt showing us your awesome videos 📹 👍 😀 👏 👌.

@@MattAviationChannel Happy Sunday Matt 😁 I meant to ask you , have you had a chance to be in the control tower? Now that is really interesting to see all the things they have to do sitting in the dark !!! Bringing in and making sure planes are on the right runway for take-off, etc . I was really fascinated!! I'm sure you would enjoy it , if you have not already done it.
