I think most of us watch this channel for the light-hearted tomfoolery, and relaxed vibe. Yet every now and again you show us how good of a rider you are: breaking down a complex skill and making it work in a pretty small amount of attempts. Great to watch.

Pauper perspective: looks like the signpost has a bit of give in it that was sucking out some of your momentum coming off of it, no? Maybe you could reinforce the back with another 2x4 like you did with the surfboard, to give it more rigidity. Might make both popping off it, and maneuvering the bike with your foot planted, more easy. Anyhow, your perseverance and tenacity in these kind of brutal, trick learning sessions is always astounding!
@namewastaken3602 жыл бұрын
Yeah a diagonal brace against the post would help I reckon. Like a strainer post they use on corners of farm fences.
@cairnserelli722 жыл бұрын
First thing that came to mind after his first full on attempt. If he would brace that post, he would get so much more push off power and, therefore, much more momentum to clear the lip of the landing. Would make it much cleaner as well.
@jamiemckennon19442 жыл бұрын
Also it needs a bit of angle on it instead of being vertical. Would allow you to push up and outward instead of just out. Also easier to plant your foot onto.

I know perhaps they aren't always as fun to film, but I find the videos where Matt is really pushing himself super compelling. Like the 1080, the behind the scenes of the flip gainer and this. Nothing but mesmerized respect from Denmark

Matt has been such an inspiration for me and I’m sure for so many more people. I started skateboarding 3 weeks ago at the age of 36. I see Matt try all these tricks and sometimes he stacks multiple times but keeps going and going. Being new to skateboarding I have had my fair share of stacks but Matt has inspired me to get back up, dust myself off and go again. Appreciate you brother 🤘🏻

Hey :) you've spoken about how exposed you are when doing the trick. I'd like to recall my previous mention instead of the surf board: An inclined bowl. One could train to whip around without losing ground contact. Especially with the surfboard being so slippery at the riding-session, it may would be an idea to revisit. Though of corse the playground has to feel like its "your project". So please just see it as just an reminder/suggestion/question. No expectations from my side. Just enjoy watching the road you are heading on 😊 Best wishes to y'all

Love this! Compound and Playground content is always awesome but it's the progression sessions (Gainer/Hitching Post/HP front flip etc) that are just a joy to watch, not because everything has the distinct whiff of Hospital about it (but they usually do) but because your metal and physical process is super inspiring, especially with Ben's added support and encouragement. Keep on pushing!

Matt, For after the 4 hips options thing on sideline, you should build a left berm or hip that puts you inline for the landing of the big right hip on mainline. Then you could jump back onto mainline and jump off the landing onto the hill as a step-up.

Haven't been following long but as a former injured Canadian mx/bike rider i love your videos. I know there's like zero chance this gets read but if it does one of the sickest line entrances or middle air areas with speed would be deadly for a toilet bowl type wall...and not just any bowl, build it like a school kid In a sandbox with a spoon...make it go through the ground and be like something we have never seen!!! Keep the videos coming !! Also get Sam Pilgrim out there hell do it I one go 🤟🤙
