I fondly remember playing Trace Memory on the DS back when I was on a trip with my family and bought as a time killer. Was never able to get the Wii sequel. Sufficed to say, it was a huge shocker to see both games getting a remake for the Switch. Looking forward to it!

A few years later and this lost game is finally coming back, even if I've never heard of these 2 games I very much so enjoy the style and look of them and would be interested in checking them out

Holy shit it's the successor to Trace Memory. That SFX of the DS opening just brought back everything. It was amazing and I highly recommend it to any fan of puzzle mysteries.

I actually played this not too long ago after seeing it in a shop, and man, it's sad to hear of the company's demise.

I was very sad when I heard of Cing's demise. After playing Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk, I felt I was a fan and that they were underappreciated. Actually, I think I got Trace Memory (Another Code) as one of my very first DS games when I bought the original fat brick console back in those wild days when developers were first testing what they could do with the dual screens. There was a puzzle that required you to simply close the DS and open it again in order to transfer ink from one page to another, if I remember correctly; it was a real think-outside-the-box moment that blew my mind a little bit. I always wanted to play this Wii sequel but never got the chance since it wasn't released in North America.

An absolutely good pick for Wii Remember. I love this franchise so much it gives me this sort of melancholy feeling nostalgia in my chest.

That TWEWY music in the opening hit me just right. Nice.

these kinds of games fill me with melancholia. Maybe it's the nostalgic factor and the feeling that games like this just don't get made anymore

Blood Edward Island sounds like a hype location for a James Bond movie.

Cing deserved way better. Little King's Story, Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory were all incredible titles. Fun fact! Hotel Dusk and Another Code (Trace Memory in NA) take place in the same universe. The maid from Hotel Dusk and the ship captain from Another Code/Trace Memory are married and have a son who's a stockbroker. I really recommend picking up a physical copy of Hotel Dusk's sequel, Last Window, too. My only complaint is that because it wasn't localized for NA like the first game, its lacking the same flair. And if you've already played Last Window, Chase: Cold Case Investigations is on the Nintendo e-shop for a few dollars. It involves the same team members from Cing. It's not very good, though.

Oh my god, Mitsuki!!! I think!!! The girl from Trace Memory!! Is D back?! I was so hyped for this game to come to NA but I don’t think it ever did! Trace Memory was my first DS game on my bday at the same age as the MC and I loved the story so much!! Wow what a nostalgia trip...

Oh yeah, I bought the first game on the DS years ago. It was actually one of the first games I bought for the system. Wish I kept it since it's worth quite a bit.

I finished this! I can't say that about many games at all! As for a Wii Remember suggestion, how about Fragile Dreams? aka Post-Apocalyptic Cat-Herding On The Road.
