Kranzle 1122TST Disassembly: Transmission Teardown & Reassembly

I wanted to make a short series on the Kranzle 1122TST & other Kranzle pressure washers so I flew out to Baltimore to visit Kranzle USA / Dirt Killer. While visiting Kranzle USA, Josh went through a whole teardown of a used 1122TST pump head & transmission so we can learn how these machines work & how to service them. While doing the teardown Josh also did an oil change on the machine.

Love the video, at 7:50 in the video what is the abnormal wear on the sleeve caused by? I bought a broken 1150T for cheap as spares and the sleeves have the wear but the plungers don't appear to have worn, if I replace the plate and water seals will that stop the "torquing" mentioned at 7:57? Would it have been wear of seals which caused this wear in the first place? Thanks, Hannah

I had the hose reel problem after 2 uses but it was aluminum shavings binding on the hose reel supports , it got so stiff it was locked , so I took it apart cleaned and greased it and it’s been perfect since , Also I don’t know if anyone else has this but my on off button cover has a watermelon seed inside it 😂 it’s very bizarre, Thanks for sharing Matt

The black marks left by the hose was unacceptable while I was washing boats. I fixed it by putting 5/8” expandable braided sleeving on the hose. No more marks and it looks cool too. 100 FT 5/8" 16mm Black Blue... www.amazon.com/dp/B071LPWK6J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

What kind of Vaseline do you use for lubrication, pistons or o-rings? Classic silicone or silicone with Teflon (PTFE)? Or a grease like a car?

Any suggestions on the 1152tst.. I keep getting a water drip/leak from the hose reel at the end of the reel that’s connected to the machine.

So I just ordered OG’s 25ft hose (blue) to replace the kranzle one since it’s spitting water out of the plastic piece just below the fitting that connects to the wand and surging the pump. Does that all still work with this unit?

Hey Matt, I own a 220v variant (HD10/122 Ts) 2.64gpm and straight out of the box from Germany, it was leaking at the bottom. Ive tried to replace the Oring didn't work. I RTV it, slowed the leaking but never eliminated it. Shipping it back to Germany is expensive.

If it's leaking water, you should be able to take it apart, change the seal and maybe swap the check valves. I was pleasantly surprised how easy this stuff was to take apart and service.

Where are you? That unit is a 50hz machine. The US and Canada are 60hz.

@@ObsessedGarage wasn't water, it was pump oil, I brought it to a local kranzle dealer, they disassembled the whole thing, told me it was a manufacturer defect and we won't cover it since it was purchased directly from Germany. Just got me some Landa 10-40 in hand incase it got low. Thanks again for videos like that Matt seriously. 👍

My Kranzle works perfect, but when I first used it I forgot to turn on the water. Noticed it about 20 seconds after it was on. I hope I didn’t damage it. I was livid with myself .

These pumps run fine without water, kranzle even recommend in the manual to run for 20 seconds without water supply after use to completely drain the pump. Great bitta kit 👍

For the price of these units I would expect no problems for quite a few years, otherwise what is the point of spending the higher price?

also why is this technician refering to pistons as plungers - plungers will be ceramic and pistons will be 304 grade SS... these are 304 grade SS pistons

Kranzle themselves refer to them as plungers for the 1122 and 1622. They are Kranzle part number 9749021.
