Makes me wish my dad ever did this sort of thing with me. He spent all the time he could working or staying at the office to avoid interacting with his kids and getting quality time. As much as you love to make content for KZbin for us car guys, make sure it never cuts into the time you spend with your family, especially your son. It's times like this that your son will remember fondly back on when he's grown up. Watching this gave me a glimpse into a world where things are right between father and son, and that's a special thing.

When I bought a new STi back in 2006 I took my then ten year old son on a road trip in the car up to Deals Gap. We still talk about the great memories we made that week, driving those mountain roads and hanging out together.

It's a very kickass video, Ryan will remember these moments for the rest of his life and hopefully he get's to tell his children & grandchildren later on he did this with his dad and hopefully he can do it with his own kids aswel he sure will be your successor in the OG-Group ;-) These are lifegoals right here ! The GT3/RS's make the best sound ever.. Been driven the GT3 MKII at work and holy hell it's so awesome when you get to push it and then shift up or the down shift.. give me goosebumps !

Super cute. Father and son out for an awesome drive. I love it. I’m a Mountain/Canyon Rd nut too. I have a Cayman GTS and a Ducati Panigale. Most people don’t understand the awesomeness that is doing this by yourself or with friends. The scenery. The twisties, the straights, the sweepers. It’s heaven!

Memories that your son will have for a lifetime! I still remember fun times with my dad growing up and try to share fun experiences with my son today. He’s 19 now so it gets less and less, which makes my wife sad but we/he still talks about fun times he had growing up. The only thing I didn’t do is let him ride with me when I had a street bike (wouldn’t get another one) although he used to ask to go with me all the time. Love the video!!!

Never cared for driving in a fun way before until my mom showed me how to drive. I was driving through Mulholland and she got ticked off because I didnt know "how to have fun". She had me pull over and drove herself. She was attacking corners and catching slides. It wasnt scary at all and opened my eyes to real driving. Now, she's stopped driving like that and drives her age as she should. This video was nostalgic. "Throttle, place the car, brake, turn, progressively start throttling, floor it when you feel the rear end is stable enough..."

Excited to hear a C7 Corvette is coming after the 1M something a little different for you Matt. Word of advice. We just traded our 16’ C7 for a 19’ I’m telling you Matt get a 19’ model year Corvette. LOOK INTO THE C7 PAINT SHOP RETOOL. GM re did their paint shop in Bowling green and the 19’s have a heck of a lot better paint. Both of ours were Arctic White and the new one (even with dealer swirls) sitting next to the old one fully corrected and coated is night and day. Less orange peel exceptional clarity given non German GM quality. If the budget allows you to get one that new. Also, a Grand Sport (Z06 widebody without LT4 motor, and dry sump LT1 naturally aspirated motor) and potentially pro charging it would be interesting to see it get put together. “Great content”
