Installing White Lights on a kayak Part 2

So i decided to go ahead and install lights on the inside of the ATAK 140 after I forgot my head lamp. Skip to 11:54 to see the finished project.

Indiana D they are waterproof actually and they have been holding up really well, I have bang them against all kinds of objects and they're still holding up like the day I put them on.

I bought a lawn mower battery from home depot cost $45. 325 amp hours. I can get two trips per charge.

where did you get your lights and how are they holding up for you? do you think they will hold up in saltwater?

Mikey Carlos they are holding up great. I think that they will hold up just fine in SW as long as your connection are clean and have heat shrink on them.

Where did the wires from lights in the handle go to? Like where is your battery for it

Dropshot TV so the green lights and the white lights in the handles all come together right under the seat inside the kayak. The switch is located just to the left of my seat on the top of the rail. I have the battery located all the way to the back in the rod locker. Check out my video call installing a bigger battery.

Probably a dumb question but I'm a an idiot when it comes to wiring. How do you wire 2 or more led strips together to one switch? I know nothing about this stuff but I want to learn.

Jeremy Manley check out part one of this video and I show how I solder these wires. When running two sets of lights the wires will look like a Y when you are done.

Where are you storing your battery to run lights?

Andrew Baisley it is a deer feeder battery that I keep in the rod locker in the rear. The second battery is in my flex pod which also runs my gps/fish finder.

Great video man, thanks. I love the lights and I am thinking of adding them to my ATAK 140. I will use your videos to walk me through the install. I currently power my Garmin fish finder with a 12 volt battery like the kind you would use on a riding lawn mower. Would I be able to power the lights and the Garmin off of the same 12 volt battery you think? Thanks again for the videos, they are very helpful.

fiveonomo you can use the same battery for both with out a doubt. I use a little deer feeder battery.
