Kasi football originated in South Africa during the apartheid era and has since become popular in townships throughout the country. It is an informal street-style game, often played on rough and uneven surfaces, that utilizes creative tricks and flair. The style has been heavily influenced by skills developed in other African countries such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. Soccer players in South African townships have made Kasi football into an art form, with creativity and trickery at the forefront. Some of the traditional skills involved in Kasi football are rapid movement and changes of direction, executing creative techniques, accurate shooting, precise passing, skilful dribbling, and flair passing.

This is Mzansi football skills at its purest form. A bunch of no name guys playing in front of a packed stadium with people in the stands expecting to see exactly this. I would be pissed of if I went there and didn't see this flair. I miss it. MattMzansi I live in Mexico City and the people I play these vids to go buck wild.
