Marie Antoinette, who was a real historical figure that the doll is based on, was an Archduchess of Austria, and, at fourteen, she married the Dauphin of France. After the death of her grandfather-in-law, the pair of them, Louis and Marie Antoinette, became King and Queen of France. The peasants were starving, and Marie was very naïve to their plight, as she was a lazy student growing up and did not have the proper upbringing (education-wise) for a ruler. There was a story (made up by the people against her, in order to get more people on their side) that, when her advisors came to her and said, "Your people have no bread", she responded, "Let them eat cake!" She never said that, but, due to the hatred the people of France felt for her (she spent thousands of dollars on herself for things like dresses, wigs, and shoes) she and her husband were later stripped of their titles and executed. Their son was imprisoned, later dying there, and their daughter was released and lived in exile. One part of the trial was especially disturbing - in order to get more people on their side for her execution, they accused her of molesting her own son, and her son was forced to testify that it was true. An absolutely disgusting period in France...

I know it sounds rough, but I went the literal route with the translation given the sentence structure. I did take 2 years of Spanish in high school. I didn't know 'cerdo hormiguero' was Spanish for aardvark. I knew that 'cerdo' is pig, and 'hormiguero' comes from 'hormiga', meaning ant, so 'hormiguero' is ant hunter, but I was close. 'Aardvark' is Afrikaans for earth pig, and aardvarks do eat ants, so I wasn't too far off.
