Exactly, like tyrod Taylor as are starting qb, with a rookie qb who missed a whole season and a half through injuries. Teams need a qb to be good. No good teams right now have a bad team.

Good point about Flores going 5-11 in what was supposed to be a “tank for Tua” year…that was a better record than us this year, in which we went 5-12 when we thought we’d be a contender.

Okay Matt I’m be simple yes they should make cuts. Careful who they resign Gm - Mike Borgonzi or Chris Spielman HC - Mike Vrabel or Brian Flores Qb - Aaron Rodgers Draft day 1 - all in on offensive line … Kelvin Banks Jr grab 2 Wyatt Milum nothing is impossible that offensive line is heavy they will be tough they competing with any team protect your qb. No more issue with the offensive line guaranteed! ✌️

I completely disagree. Six years, and the man never fixed the offensive line.. instead of taking a chance of moving OT Mekhi Becton inside like Philly did. Robert Salah, Keith Carter and Joe Douglas destroyed his confidence, taunted him and forced him out. Joe Douglas‘s incompetence, and malfeasance was proven when in the same draft that we took AVT, there were at least 15 Olineman in that class that were NFL starters. We had 5 draft picks from rounds 1-4, instead of drafting a second offensive tackle or guard to shore up this offensive line, from injury and depth for injured starters. Joe Douglas decided he didn’t need to draft another offensive lineman. Which culminated that season in not only Becton being hurt for the season, but both our QBs being out several games due to QB sacks. But his unforgivable mistake that draft was that he did not take a chance on a 6th round pick and traded that pick to Kansas City who used that pick to draft, now all pro guard …Trey Smith. Smith who was a projected 1st round pick fell due to a season ending injury in his 3rd collegiate game of that season. Why would Douglas, not take a chance on a Olineman that was projected to go in the first round but slipped to the 6th due to injury when only 12% of all 6th round picks make the team. That in itself was a fireable offense in my opinion. Trading Darnold Not signing Mike White, and the biggest of all mistakes… drafting Zach Wilson. Any fool any blind man could see that Zach Wilson was not a 1st round pick. His throwing mechanics were terrible, he played mediocre teams, he couldn’t read defenses, his WR and Oline were 1000 times better than the competition, he had an average of 8 seconds to make all his throws that season, he under through his receivers, he had no anticipation of when his receivers would get open nor could he throw them wide open. All of the same traits that we saw every single game that he came out and played. In short, I was happy overjoyed, exuberant , when they fired Joe Douglas.

@ you’re response was filled with revisionist rhetoric that is void of context, along with hyperbole and 20/20 hindsight… He never fixed the offensive line? Then what would you call an offensive line that has: Olu, Smith, Tippman, AVT and Moses? We were literally a top 10 offensive line unit in every statistic last season.. AVT was a pro bowl caliber player prior to his injuries.. He was still very good this season.. Becton looked very promising until his injuries; Becton when asked if he would switch positions, while he was ON THE JETS, tweeted out, “IM A LT!” … He wasn’t open to switching positions until he hit the market and realized he didn’t have many options.. Zach Wilson was a bust but he wasn’t open the consensus number two QB in the draft; it’s cool to play armchair GM now but the masses said he was a franchise quarterback.. The CORE of our team was drafted, signed and traded for by JD.. Don’t just give one side of the story.. Be balanced and fair with your observation.. Criticize him for Zach? Okay; give him credit for: Sauce, GW, JJ, Hall, Bralon Allen, Sherwood, Quincy Williams, Morestead, Olu, Reed, Conklin, WMD, Tippman, AVT etc.. And to say you would’ve fired him for not drafting a player in Trey Smith, who many felt had a career threatening injury is just beyond ridiculous.. It wasn’t until Woody or should I say Bric Johnson stepped in and everything went straight to shit.. Oh and there aren’t even 15 offensive linemen from AVT’s draft class that is currently starting in the league. That’s a hyperbole

What’s the deal with Devante’s contract? In his last presser, he was talking as if he were a free agent. He seemed to indicate that if Rodgers wasn’t here, he would probably not be.

His cap hit next year is 38M. There isn't enough cap space for that so to stay he would have to agree to a pay cut. Thus while he isn't technically a free agent, he does get to decide if he wants to take a pay cut and stay- if not he is cut.

GM - Chief's assistant Head Coach - Glenn or Vrable if he can be convinced to come here. Extend Sauce and Wilson. They are only going to get more expensive every year you wait. I'm big on extending after year 3 if they've earned it which both have. Cut Lazard and Clemons just because. Keep Rodgers and Devante. Resign sherwood. Dont resign Conklin or CJ Mosley. Free agency - Sign a corner since Reed doenst want to come back. Sign a competent right tackle. Sign a better safety. Draft - TRADE BACK AS FAR AS POSSIBLE IN ROUND 1! We need another 1st next year to move up for a QB in 26. Draft BPA from there on out. I'd focus on someone who can stop the run, another WR, a Tight End and a safety and depth. I'd also be down for drafting Milroe on a trade back at the back end of the 1st or top of the second. If we stay at 7, I'd like to go Carter, McMillian, Graham, Will Johnson in that order.

I mean come on, on a down year Rodgers puts up 28 & 11 for the jets 🤣. And this was really the first year he could knock the rust off. So can't hurt going one more time around. They have all the pieces in place just need the right guy to keep them on track and Rex will always keep that locker room intact

If the jets defense can stop the run and hopefully run the ball on offense then Rodgers make some plays he's still capable of doing this is an 11 win team easily just undisciplined mistakes and no heart this season they all laid it on the shoulders of Rodgers. They put too much on his passing they got away from their true identity which is run the ball great defense and play action plays

The jets are going to restructure Rodgers and Adams, that makes the most sense for everybody..remember when Aaron said he wants to play two more years. ‘23 didn’t count. That’s why I think he will stick around one more season

I like 90% of this but Adams won't be staying if Rodgers goes which is what I also predict. So the pick at 9 is WR for me. We have Loki Fotu back at DL and we can draft a runstuffer in the mid rounds...Jason Ferguson was a round 7 , Snacks undrafted. We cannot go into the season with Garrett and a bunch of scrubs. JD absolutely screwed up the draft last year at WR...I watched the top 20 WRs and Corley was THE one who couldn't run a route tree...you could see what was gonna happen. Jerry Rice's son would have been a better pick, rounds later, it was such a deep draft at WR last year. I;m not sure LB Barnes played a snap this season?

Easy fix sign Sherwood ,Echols, Moses, let every non drafted player not on a contract walk, cut AR , Adams, Lazard, draft , Best WR, Best , TE, and best DT in that order, sign Reed the KC safety. Go all in for a QB in 26

So …You, would cut the majority of our players, and let both AR and DA walk? You would put Tyrod Taylor behind this offensive line? You would take the HUGE CAP HIT, cutting all those guys would cost ? Not being able to field a team that could even win four games ? You know you would risk losing Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and AVT next season right? You’re OK with that? And you would draft a WR, TE and a DT in that order? I just wanna ask you a question. Did you see the run defense over the last three years for the New York Jets? Do you understand the game of football? Stop the run get to the QB. Block for the QB, open lanes for the RB. The New York Jets lost most of their games, because they could not stop opposing teams scoring on them. They couldn’t stop the run, they couldn’t stop a nosebleed with a case of Charmin tissue. So, if Mason Graham, the best interior DT pass rusher in college football, falls to the New York Jets at #7 you’re going to bypass him? DUDE , REALLY? OK, yes We do need a WR and a TE, but a TE is not gonna win you more games than a duo of DTs Quinnen Williams and Mason Graham. Not only will they stop the RB and sack the QB from the interior, forcing mobile quarterbacks to stay in the pocket or take chances trying to escape running into the arms of Edge Rushers JJ and Anderson. Those two players alone can win us four games by themselves. What we would have with Will Anderson ( Mark Gastineau), Quinnen Williams (Marty Lions), Mason Graham (Joe Klecko), and Jermaine Johnson ( Abdul Salaam) is more than, or equal to, what the Jets had in the 1980s with a group called “THE NY SACK EXCHANGE”. I’d like to keep AR8 as a bridge QB. Keep WR Devante Adams, and TE Tyler Conklin. Bring in either QB Justin Fields or Trey Lance, with weapons of a Hall, Wilson and Corley we really aren’t that far from having a successful season . I’d also like to draft a WR… Savion Williams -TCU 6’5, 230lbs, 4.45 forty, and makes circus catches or a TE but not before the third round. In my humble opinion, the draft we need would be, DT, OT, TE or WR, S, LB, DT, OG . This

Your blueprint for the players makes alot of sense I like McCown as the OC but I would rather the Jets go with Glenn not that I like a first time HC what flores did in miami then playing the race card sueing the league and teams which is still on going are the actions of a low character person who shouldn't lead a team of men

Going into the season with Taylor as a starting QB is admitting you're throwing the season away. Taylor hasn't done anything in the last 7 years which includes the Jets. The only team he could start for in 2025 is the Jets and that is not a good thing. The only time he was good in his career was in the Bills offense which was long ago for a QB.

With what defense? The NYJ couldn’t stop a nosebleed with a case of Charmin tissue last year, and it’s only getting worse. Quinnen Williams needs help. CJ Mosley may not come back, Sherman isn’t under contract. And we lost two safeties. Unless you want to make this an entire defensive draft as far as the Jets are concerned, the defense is in shambles.

First I LOVE and am very aligned with the GM and coach selections. For me it’s Borgonzi or bust. I also have Vrabel as unrealistic #1 knowing he’s too smart to work for the Jets. But Flores was my second choice AND I’m quickly elevating McCown to a head coach option for us but Flores/McCown could be a nice combo. My only regret if that happens is we will lose McCown soon to a head coach job and I may want to just pull the trigger on him now. As for cuts…I hope Rodgers and Adams are back and I do like Ruckert. I absolutely despise Conklin and hated that signing from day 1. I am counting the seconds until we are done with that overrated empty stat producing jobber. Let him go already please.

Also…I would NEVER extend Garrett Wilson. I do NOT think he is worth anywhere near that money. Empty stats and overrated. I would trade him in an instant. He’s a WR2. In fact if they don’t trade (or extend - they don’t have to) they would be smart to draft Tet McMillan so Wilson can operate the only place he successful. Underneath possession routes.
