I'm getting more and more excited. Imagine Spielman as GM, Glenn as HC and maybe someone like Uncle Josh(Josh McCown) as OC. He's seen and has been Part of so many different Offensive Schemes as Player. That could be a high Risk high Reward Move. DC, Vance Joseph or Steve Spegnuolo? I think now we're cookin'.

I’d actually keep Jeff Ulbrich as DC.. WE HAD A TOP 15 defense while he was DC.. The Lack of defensive line talent and CB/S injuries hurt this team Joe Douglas not drafting Dline players as well as Salehs insistence on bringing all his ex 49er players.

This should be a no-brainer for Woody Johnson . This is the pairing I want for the NYJ. Two guys from the same winning organization, organization, that instantly gives you two men who are familiar with each other they have some synergy, desire to win, respect for each other, and will definitely hold each other accountable for the success of this team. Both men were X players so they would know how to talk to our players and I believe they both have scouting background so they would be able to evaluate and draft good talent.

Short of another Parcells-type football czar, this would be my dream pairing. Since it doesn't look like the Jets are going to get that, if the Jets have pull from the coordinator pool, Glenn would be a fantastic hire both from a track record standpoint as a coordinator and his history with the franchise. Aaron Glenn, the former Jet CB great, and Spielman bringing that Detroit way (can't believe I'm typing those words in 2025 😂) would actually bring hope and excitement to the Jets again. Much more than a retread with a mediocre head coaching record like Nagy or Flores + whoever else the GM hire would be. Nothing is guaranteed as we learned with Saleh and Douglas, but it's all about hope and potential right now.

It will come down to Jets/Saints for Aaron Glenn and it will come down to Glenn/Flores for the Jets i feel. Im still holding out hope Glenn chooses us, but itll be tough for sure. We shall see. A lot of stressful but exciting weeks to come for sure.

Joe Douglas and Saleh seemed like a duo that could have worked with Douglas learning from a successful organization in Philadelphia Eagles and Saleh a defensive guy who does not call offensive plays but Jets could not make the playoffs.

Jets should handle it the way the Rams did when they paired first-timer Sean McVay w/ Wade Phillips, a "mentor-type" former HC who served as the DC. Since Glenn is coming from the D side of the ball, look for an OC who used to be a HC.

A few weeks ago, I thought Flores would be the best available choice. What Glenn has done in Detroit is amazing, that defense is in intense despite injuries. Chris Spielman & Aaron Glenn would be my choice.

I'm not opposed to first time HC or GM candidates anymore. I think though if you do it you pair them with a veteran staff. Borganzi and Dimitrioff as his assistant GM, or if you want to see what Louis Reddick brings, Demitrioff GM Louis Reddick assistant GM. Aaron Glenn HC, but I want to see a real veteran staff on board, Doug pederson or Frank Reich as his OC, Rex Ryan or maybe Ron Rivera as his DC. All of these guys were head coaches in the league and can help Aaron Glenn or what ever first time head coach be successful.

I'd love it, but my ideal front office would be GM: Dimitroff Assistant GM: Mike Greenberg (one of Dimitroff's weaknesses was th cap, and Greenberg is a great cap manager, plus he's a Jets fan) President of Football operations: Chris Spielman, we could use the position, and while I love Spielman and would want him in the building, I think he'd be best as an advisor.

Fine pairing. Would be an excellent reboot, but will they take the jobs and work for Woody? Highly doubtful. I hope I'm wrong, but the whole world just saw Woody fire Saleh, the only guy in the org with any real football knowledge, and KEEP Nathaniel Hackett, maybe the worst nepo hire in the history of the NFL. Those guys will both have other options.

If the Jets want Aaron Glenn, he’ll come to the Jets. He’s a former jet.. as long as the money is better or equal, there’s no place like home. My choice for OC would be Josh McCown and I would keep Jeff Ulbrich as the DC. Ulbrich I had a top 10 to 15 defense the entire time he was here. He didn’t make the choices of who was on the team or who he could draft. Joe Douglas did a horrible job with the defensive line. He never drafted any first round defensive lineman after he got rid of all of the previous defensive lineman. He also brought in terrible free agent, defensive lineman, and listened mostly to Robert Salah who brought in a whole lot of ex 49ers rejects. The only defensive player I would keep that Joe Douglas and Sally brought here is DT Kinlaw.
