What makes Matt great is how impulsive and witty he is which is hard to do. Wouldn't say he's the best in the scene right now. He's charismatic, has good stage presence, but his improv/crowd work jokes are not very clever and his written stuff isn't much better. He's had a few flashes of really brilliant crowd work, but it is usually is pretty average. Majority of the reason he gained so much traction is because he's a halfway decent comedian and super attractive. I think Mark Normand is probably the current best of the sorta new wave.

Dave began Comedy at 14, so he + Harvey has been in at least 30+ years. That's a long time to see + hear thru the grapevine, + watch beloved friends in the Biz just disappear, as Dave kept saying.
