Just to clarify; is this step unnecessary if your windows are protected by overhangs?

Could someone explain the rendering he drew? He marked the 90* angle as 5* and it left me confused. Also, how far out past the edge left and right is good? I’m guessing 1/8”?

Matt, is 28 gauge stainless a viable option? 304, for not near salt water.

Thanks for the cost comparison! Adds a dimension to the show that most informational/instructional videos leave out but an aspect that is really important to the viewers.

Hi Matt, please do a segment on waterproofing a bathroom tile shower. There are a lot of different materials and methods and would really like to see what you reccomend on your builds.

Rheinzink metal is also a good, high end, choice for flashings and metal work.

Excellent material Matt...I am curious how you order your flashing. Do you just order x number of 10 foot sections, or do you keep the window sizes in mind in order to minimize waste? I would think ordering flashing for each window would eliminate waste but the cost may outweigh the benefit?

Good info. I'm just a homeowner but what about just doing bigger eaves? Overhangs? Would that achieve the same objective? Or is this more $$$$ efficient? Thanks for dropping "goes rogue" segment. It was a little confusing.

Can I use some of these principles when it comes to flashing a porch roof? I need to rebuild a porch that boarders a stonewall and I’m wondering how to flash it.. thanks Matt!

I like that you gave some pricing, even though it varies and depends, the cost brings context of materials.

Matt you are a superhero you can see through the tape measure and read the mark on the other side. 😂 Just giving you a hard time. Keep up the good work Matt. Edit - NVM - you did twist the tape measure 180. “My bagel”.

Copper can be soldered. How about flashing per-say. Its many apps in today's modern build/rebuild/remodel. Thanks. Smooth presentation.

That is not 5 degrees, either 85 or 95 degrees,
@amnslk6976 жыл бұрын
KEITHS AC was just going to post the same thing. It has to be 95 because 85 will keep water toward the house and drain to the sides instead of off the drip edge.
