The difference is a jeep is really not a jeep , when it’s all said and done it has different axles, diffs ,suspension , drive train and the list goes on , that’s what makes them so good . Land cruises on the other hand you just drive them to wherever you’re going , and then drive them back . I have both and love them like children. Thanks for sharing

I would love to see a plack on one of the walls made custom tiers to hold all of his hot wheels inspired minnie trucks (and don't forget the Golden Nugget). A tag that reads... "Congratulations to Matt (sorry, I don't know how to spell his last name) for achieving the highest honor in the recovery world. He is fired up! One of the things with part stores is, the retail stores tend to have a range of years where they'll stock the most stuff at a given store. For example, Hondas and Toyotas that are 5 to 10 years old would have the most stock in a store whereas a second gen Honda Civic from 1983 would have to have most of the stuff ordered. They'll typically have stuff that's not as common in the local hub so you're inclined to order from them. My local hub from when I worked at AutoZone didn't like me because I ordered singular bags of potato chips.
@matthew98672 сағат бұрын
This is what I was basically coming to say. From my understanding parts stores only have space to stock the more common vehicles spare parts. If they stock too many parts for older less common vehicles those parts would take too much shelf space to be able to stock the parts needed more often. Then they have a network of their own stores and warehouses to hopefully be able to provide less often used parts to stores as needed.

The reason there aren't many parts available for old Land Cruisers is that they were so reliable that they rarely needed parts, so there wasn't enough demand to produce them...unlike Jeeps, which break regularly and there are lots of them. Toyota pickups and 4-Runners are a whole different story. So many on the road that, even though they are more reliable, some will break so an aftermarket supply is available. Case in point, my 04 Tacoma with 305k miles, now needs both outer door handles, and the pair are available for about $15 from multiple vendors. My 87 XJ was pretty reliable after I replaced its Crank Position Sensor, but it finally blew a head gasket on the 4.0 at 320k miles.
@davidmarx14514 сағат бұрын
Also, Toyota only sold 2-4 thousand Land Cruisers a year at their peak in the US so stocking parts for them is not a good business model.
