Agreed, the house isn't that spectacular. The area is very nice though and Solihull is one of the most affluent and expensive places for property outside of London

It's always crazy to me looking at the prices of these houses. Most of the properties you tour seem to be very small for cost compared to where I live. Would be nice to see some tours of older built properties away from any major cities. I do still love the new builds though.

It amazes me new builds in England are still so small for the money! If they’re gonna build - build w/the amenities. eg, closets in the bedrooms, bathrooms that 2ppl can actually fit in, n kitchens that are actually an “eat in” kitchen. All the bathrooms look like bathrooms on an airplane!
@popazz13 жыл бұрын
Bear in mind that the UK is a small island and undeveloped land is at a premium, and as the population increases year on year the need for more properties also increases. We're never going to be a nation where houses are going to be huge sprawling properties. Also, there's the issue of maintaining those areas which are protected in law against residential development. We must protect our 'green and pleasant' land against mass development or we risk becoming like other island nations where green space becomes severely depleted and we start building skywards, like Singapore for instance. We should build for our needs rather than for our desires. Does a family of, say, 5 really need a 10 bedroom, 5 bathroom property?

Hi Matt and Summer, loved this house in Solihull, not something we could have though, we'll stay with our little brown brick ex council semi detatched house. It was certainly different how they'd built two kitchens, one main area and a galley kitchen off it. Again no garage and no garage space, it doesn't even look as if a car could be driven down the side of the house into the back away from the front and for this price too they could have incorporated that feature 🙄 Love your videos, keep them coming as a lot of people are enjoying them including us 😀 Regards Alec.

The open plan lounge kitchen is the highlight of this house. Having a small kitchen in the utility is also a neat idea (especially if you are cooking curries and don't want your whole lounge smell of spices :-) I am not a big fan of the sloping roofs on BOTH the large bedrooms above. Also, the 2 smaller bedrooms have way too many power sockets in my opinion which is also true for the 2 lounge/reception room downstairs.

One thing i'm unsure with is the porcelain tiles in the hallway I see alot of people nowadays doing this, but I think is it a really good idea especially when you have all the main services coming into the house from the hallway and if you ever need to get at it for any reason it will be a real nightmare .

I'm assuming that the trend with new builds is for properties with large kitchen/dining/living spaces? I only ask because the inclusion of a separate kitchen in the utility room seems superfluous when there's already a fully equipped kitchen in the main living space, even taking into account Matt's suggestion that having the 2nd kitchen means you can keep the main kitchen clean and tidy. Maybe I'm just out of date, old school, by preferring 2 separate living/ dining areas, both which would be larger than the two reception rooms at the front of this property. Decent sized bedrooms though and a manageable size garden space.
@elias-emirmahmood49494 жыл бұрын
Hi guys, i hope all well and safe,awsome video as always. i wish property developers understand that the front rooms being tiny will have issues with furniture settings. If anything i would ditch the utility area have the kitchen in the front, take down the wall for wider space dining room.and have the back room for a luxury living area . Our guest will be put of smelling like food in their nice clothes in the kitchen and the front rooms couldn't get that many people in.Up stairs I would of had 3 large rooms square shape .
