First Flight of 3.1m Krill Extra 330SC with DA200LM

Test flight of my Krill Extra 330SC (41%) with DA200LM. This is the very first time I've flown the model. Only a few clicks of trim needed to keep her straight and level. Flying mainly on half throttle as the Desert Aircraft engine is producing a lot of power. Unfortunately the smoke system appeared to be stuck on. What was actually happening is it was taking around 25 seconds for the smoke to stop after I turned it off, I therefore presumed the switch wasn't working correctly. Overall really pleased with a nice easy test flight!

Same on my skywing ars300 need test next year putting power box sr2 and futaba 16iz did use spektrum but I was losing fame

Good flight Matt. Those double rolls were lovely, do they require much elevator or rudder, or does it just axial roll that smoothly?

Thank you. That was the first time I rolled it. From memory just a tiny bit of elevator and rudder. It knife edged with just rudder, no elevator needed. It was super easy to fly. It’s a shame I didn’t get the second flight in film. I was comfortable enough to throw it round a bit more.

@@MattTakharRC awesome! Be good to see some follow up flights when you’re not busy filming other things :) I’m just starting out in IMAC as well. I don’t know if you’ve heard but there might be a new IMAC date coming up in August as a training/comp weekend. I need to get my new plane setup, but there’s a good chance I’ll be entering the training day at least.

I’m aiming to be at the training session in August. I won’t be taking the Krill but I will take Big Blue and Big Red, both 104” Extreme Flight Extras. Ones electric the other has a DA120. Hope to see you there!
