the pick scrape specifically was really good because i’ve never put my hand in front of the pick while doing it and just went right into it and always thought i just needed to be faster at moving my hands, so this was super helpful thank you!

So that's what Randy was doing in the Crazy Train solo! I just used a whammy dive for that part

It actually isn't what Randy does, and it isn't the whammy bar either. I just checked some live footage and his pick hand never moves past the pickups when it isnt tapping at the start. It's around 2:20 seconds into the song if you want to see for yourself. Annoyingly, the best up-close version cuts to the bass until the bending trill part is finished. Randy would also bend the neck with his fret hand sometimes or push the headstock back with his pick hand

Well he had a floating tremolo so he just had to bend his whammy backwards and its also what he used in the Over the Mountain solo

The way I do it is by bending up the fretted note with my ring finger and just use my pick to tap really fast. Sounds exactly right.
