Love the looks and sounds of that rushing river. Interesting history on the name of Scotland. Had no idea Scotland had that many islands. The midges are guarding that amazing view of the waterfall!

There is loads I didn't know about Scotland either... and I live in the UK! It was a certainly an interesting & enjoyable trip - except for those midges!

Thank you! I suspect most people drive it clockwise, I decided to do it in the other direction so that I could visit the west coast last. Glad you got to relive a little bit of your adventure through my vlog - it's a wonderful route isn't it?

Hi Matt, Really Enjoying your Videos of your trip. Its great how you have made a series instead of one video👌. The Rivers and the lochs and Mountains are unbelievably beautiful. Glad you jumping out of the car and showing these little hidden Gems. The hotel seemed decent, we always wish it would be cheaper 😄. Shame your flight got moved forward. Hope you're ok and well? The old house you passed (now a Bothy) at 2.26 was used as a drover's stop over when they had to walk the sheep and cattle to market in Dingwall

That's incredible, thanks for letting me know. I was actually wondering what it was when I edited the video because I couldn't recall seeing it on the trip. I thought bothy's were a bit more remote than that - I could have had a cheap overnight stay! Wonderful to hear about the history too so thanks for including it.

Interesting that the island you were pointing at when you were talking about the hundreds that surround Scotland (centre screen @7:16) is Gruinard Island. This island was quarantined for the second half of the 20th century due to some germ warfare trials carried out in WW2.
