I used to watch this as a kid...reminds me of how long we had black and white TV's (and, how it didn't seem like black and white at the time)! This was the first cartoon/kids show I remember, after this was Captain Kangaroo.

WOW, this one is OOOOLLLDDD. Mid-Late 50s IF I remember back that far. This was the way early TV shows got their revenue. Commercials within the show. Early game shows had it down pat.

"MATTY'S FUNNIES WITH BEANY AND CECIL" was presented on Saturday nights at 7pm(et) throughout 1962 (it was colorcast, beginning that September). 26 half-hours were produced. Repeats were seen on Saturday- then Sunday- mornings as "BEANY AND CECIL" on the network from 1963 through '65.
