Just got back from lefthand 30 minutes ago and literally flatted on the exact same trail u did. I flatted right at 7:27 , where you can choose to make a sharp right turn or go straight. (You went straight.) I hit a sharp rock after that flat corner and that was the end of my dad lol. Keep the lefthand footage coming! You gotta check out brown town, it's a sick trail but super steep and loose.

Agree completely, the fact that they used the Marlin for their e-hardtail was very disappointing especially since I am considering an e-bike in the near future but also want to stick with a hardtail. Looking around it seems nobody really makes a HCHT in an e-bike platform though.

Yay Matty's riding left hand again. You should get up to Idaho Springs and ride Virginia Canyon soon, the new Drop Shaft trail is probably the best trail on the front range, and surprisingly hardtail friendly, the Roscoe would be a hoot there. There's also a new bike park down in Centennial at Dove Valley Regional park, checked it out Friday when it opened, some very nicely built jumps with great progression and a really good pump track (better than Valmont's pump track).

Good to see you back out on the trails! The camera doesn't do justice to how steep that is, looked fine to me then I could hear and see the rear sliding out behind you on straight areas, yep that's pretty steep. Loose too! Do you use much front brake? You might need to lean on your front braking more unless you're trying to kick out the rear in turns like your partner was doing. It's not hard to see why folks like e-bikes, that made the ride a whole different kind of enjoyable I'm sure.

who rides this? lol you do lol looks like a chill trail, but yeah could be intense on a hardtail... which is what I think hardtails are great for, if you don't have or want to ride chunky XC/enduro trails then hardtails are great. But tech climbs and descents suspension always wins. Where I live I always tell people if they want to ride trails a good used full suspension is money better spent than a new budget hardtail
@mrvwbug44233 ай бұрын
Deadass is not a chill trail. it's steep and fast with tons of features, if you know the lines and can ride it at trail speed it flows amazingly well.

Wheelie bikes, that trend where kids do wheelies into oncoming traffic and try to swerve at the last second because apparently hitting a skatepark and doing real tricks isnt cool enough for them. I despise Wheelie bikelife culture for that, dont encourage children to play chicken. The wheelie "tricks" look stupid too, and unfortunately videos of that crap, namely shorts, are plaguing social media these days, hopping onto the seat during a manual on a bike setup for manuals looks dumb, grind a rail with those pegs, or 360 a stairset, much cooler than swerving to avoid hitting a car. Get a real BMX Matty, I wanna see you session some skatepark, ledges etc. I realize your only going to do what you want to do, but it would be sweet to see, and would build you some new skills that actually transfer over to mountainbiking, like did you know, before Dirt Jumper bikes existed, proper BMX bikes were Dirt Jumpers, and most Dirt Jump riders also rode Street and Park BMX. As for the Trek Slash+ and Rail, their cool, but I prefer my Acoustic Slash, as I couldnt imagine sacrificing the weight savings for something that climbs for me, the weight of the motor and battery would just be a waste to me, I'd rather just pedal. Glad your having fun though.
@MattyActive3 ай бұрын
I don’t blame you for feeling that way about wheelie bikes, I pretty much stick to myself when it comes to that. It’s relaxing for me to do wheelies, I don’t do all that crazy stuff

I did not know e-bikes were allowed at Left Hand. Which is dumb since those trails were all built by moto riders. I'm assuming no one cares (as they shouldn't).
@mrvwbug44233 ай бұрын
It's in "who knows" status while the management plan is hashed out. Motos will likely be let back in once the management plan is finalized so ebikes will be included. Nobody enforces anything out there and ebike is definitely the way to ride there due to the steep climb and short downhills. The frenzy of trail building in the last 2 years is to grandfather as many dedicated MTB trails in as possible. Most of the OG trails like 842 and Bon Scott were old moto trails, most of the new stuff like Deadass, GZA, Brown Town, etc. have been built within the last 4 years or at least turned from faint tracks into proper trails.
