Sooo nice to see you take this tack. I'm a 66-year-old quasi-newbie, only into this for three years now. So I'm comparatively new at this, but I'm also "mature." Coming to fragrances at 64 doesn't mean you're starting with the tastes of a 24-year-old. You're "new" but you're still "old" (and I mean that with pleasure). I love your videos but they can tend to tack young (and why not--you're young!). So glad to see you devote some time to the older crowd, thank you! LOVE TdH, love Dior ES (Eau Sauvage EDT left me underwhelmed, candy-ish Lemon Drops and nothing deeper, but the parfum is exquisite). I have never ventured into the tobacco note, but your description of Montabaco is distinctly enticing. Especially your comment on its office-worthy character. Clearly nothing that "stinks" of tobacco could be that, so with that and your reference to "mountain ozone" and "clean" you've highly intrigued me!

Platinum Egoiste is beautiful. I tried it out in Sephora last year and was shocked at how clean and classy it smelled. Came out before I could know anything about fragrances and doesn't smell dated at all.

Hello. Great video. I knew that Eau Sauvage Parfum had to be on this list. I just started wearing it for the first time last month. I love it. A modern take on “old school”. I’m 52 and it’s a perfect scent for me. To my nose, it’s a bit potent when I first apply, but after about 15/20 minutes- the fragrance is toned down elegance and sophistication.

I bought a 50% full bottle of Sartorial on your recommendation. It's a masterclass in perfumery. Maybe the most perfect fougere I've ever smelled. It's not for everyone or every occasion but my God, it's great stuff

I'm 23 and Platinum egoiste is my signature scent, it was love at first spray haha(for me, it's the best fragrance from Chanel along with Antaeus). I also have terre d'hermes that it used to be my signature scent until I bought PE. Also another great acqua di parma scent is oud&spice(at least for me) , soo underrated.

I am 21 and I appreciate every perfume you mentioned. This is a pure class in the bottle. I would grab Sartorial EDT by Penhaligon's, YSL Kouros EDT, Pour Monsieur EDP by Chanel for life.
@matteobevilacqua7879 ай бұрын
@@daniellabuda7744 Well, it's always a pleasure to see people around my age with such good and mature tastes (and not NPCs, haha). Kouros is not my cup of tea, but I like the DNA, and in the context of animalic fragrances, it is a masterpiece. Pour Monsieur EDP is class in a bottle really, better than the EDT. I have a small bottle of the EDT concentrate version that I bought in France, which has been discontinued. I haven't tried Sartorial yet, so I can't comment on that one.

Dude I got a sample of Oud & Spice and I can’t wear it 😂 it’s not that I don’t like the scent, but it’s WAY too strong. One single spray on the back of my hand and it fills up the entire room and chokes me out lmao I had to wash it off immediately and I could still smell it. I keep trying to wear it because I genuinely like the scent just wish it was toned down a lot

I really enjoy this video so much. Completely agree with your choices. You have selected some whipped cream of mature perfumery available on the market. Egoiste Platinum is so beautiful... I will also suggest TF Grey Vetiver EDP or Parfum.
@ryujinzengen60539 ай бұрын
I really like TF Noir Anthracite, I blind bought it and it's a very interesting smelling fragrance, ashy and woody in an unapologetic kind of way. It does remind me of Dior Sauvage Elixir, not for its scent directly but I feel like they are two different takes on the same kind of idea, bold masculine scents that fill up your nose with lots of spices. Would totally recommend if you can find it somewhere at a decent price.

I think this is the first time when I've seen an influencer discuss four fragrances in my collection: Platinum Egoiste, Guapo, Sandalo, and Eau Sauvage Parfum. Ormand Jayne is on my list to sample. Nice list, and some new ideas to try. My current signature is Dior Eau Sauvage. I love the citrus and lavender combo backed by spicy woods. It's not for the faint hearted and it demands to be noticed without being obnoxious about it. And it lasts forever.

Blind bought a bottle of Platinum Egoïste and I just don’t get it. And I have experienced this more often that how something smells is so personal that I start to believe that these lists don’t make any sense. How come the longevity of some perfume’s doesn’t even come close to my experiences. Still enjoy the journey though so keep up the good work!

Pretty sure Acqua Di Parma claim it’s real oud in their Oud fragrance. As it’s around £200 retail (a lot for ADP as their fragrances are generally on the cheaper niche side) it would kind of make sense. I personally prefer their Oud and Spice. Good video as always.

I bought Le Male a month ago and fell in love with it - I really like the powderiness more than I would have thought. Got Ultra Male a week ago and am absolutely obsessed with it and don't even want to wear anything else lol. LMLP is absolutely next - I'm not sure I actually enjoy the new elixir so I probably won't get it but I'm considering picking up Le Beau Le Parfum as well in the future. The whole Le Male line still holds up sooooo well.

I have noire anthracite and montebaco intensivo based on Omar’s recommendations. Both amazing!! I use anthracite sparingly because it’s discontinued. If I can find another bottle I’ll grab it. I love amouage Reflection 45 extrait, Dior homme Parfum and the maker Stag. You really need to get your nose on perfumes from the maker hotel in Hudson New York. Amazing! I know that you’re in the uk so it’s difficult but so worth it. Also sniffing a decant of Tom Ford Tubereuse Nue. This is a fragrance that I love and I don’t know why.

Its funny that I only have 12 fragrances and 3 are on this list. Chanel Platinum is my signature scent, Terre is an old staple (that I find myself not actually wearing much), and Prada Intense is my winter daytime work scent, as I think you can wear it in the daytime as well. In fact, I don't think it is a great date scent as the iris and soap might make it a little bright, but would work well for a banquet dinner or something. I would add Creed Royal Oud and Tom Ford for Men Extreme. The Tom Ford one has sadly been discontinued, but it is the perfect winter daytime scent, so warm and classy.

Le Male le Parfum is one of my prefered ones too ; i particularly enjoy iris scents and wear also frags like Dior Homme Intense and Prada Homme Intense (they even have the same name). LMLP has just some of that iris and a slightly animalic vibe in the late hours which is 👌. I think it is very versatile and could easily be worn casually or a bit more dressed up.. the only occasion i don't think it'd really work is hot weather.

The perfumer of Tobacco Intensivo is Geza Schoen, who founded Escentric Molecules! So you've certainly smelled his work. He's a master of aromachemicals which shows with Tobacco Intensivo as it's nearly all aromachemicals and is a fresh tobacco scent. The longevity is unfortunately disappointing on me though.

I would never wear a suit, but I feel like this fragrance works for the more refined people, it is very oldschool, smells like a nice shaving cream but it's very light and long lasting. Mature? You have no idea what you are talking about. Neither of your listed fragrances were marketed and bought by mature buyers. Most people who bought and wore your named fragrances were by the 15-30 year old crowd. The kids in my school used to especially wear Egoiste Platinum in 1997. Most older dads, grandpas I encounter today wear Spicebomb, Sauvage, Versace Eros or any other generic mall fragrance their kids or wives gifted them.
