The thing I LOVE about Maudes interviews is that she is quick witted, expressive and confident AND FUCKING NORMAL, and it makes the celebrities that are not used to having people like that around them a bit uncomfortable. Some of them seem like they are not used to people interrupting them in normal conversation. It's often funny to see them try and have the "one-up" answer but it's really not that funny, and Maude knows it :) Sometimes they look around the room while expressing an answer to gain support for them because they are intimidated by her. I FUCKING LOVE IT! I really wish it wasn't the end of times because I REALLY want more of these :(
@plume...4 жыл бұрын
@Cassie K There are a billion other interviews done in exactly the same room with exactly the same questions about exactly the same movie to exactly the same actors on exactly the same day. I just like these because they are different. If I want the info I'll watch one of those interviews. If I want to watch the celebrity squirm and a bit of light-hearted banter... I'll watch one of these :) You have a valid point about an interviewers job, but with these promotional movie interviews I think there are just SO many of them set up throughout the day for the actors, that it's good to see a bit of a wildcard one!

@chooseyourpoison51052 жыл бұрын
@@alexanderdickson419 To be fair to Meryl, she wasn't trying to do a straight Australian accent, she was doing Lindy Chamberlain's accent, which is a cross between Australian and Kiwi. You know an accent is hard when even Meryl Streep says she can't do it

Whats some Aussie/NZ foods, that are not just branded snacks and drinks super-processed or similar to other countries foods, and one can cook or bake at home? I only can think of Lamingtons, and perhaps meat pies (but those exist in other countries). It seems UK (inc Scotland), Canada, Ireland and US all have much more domestic cuisines than Australia/NZ. There's definitely plenty of Aussie slang, like there is in UK (in Scotland), Canada, Ireland, and US.
