IMPORTANT NOTE: Mauga is probably going to be in a Queen/Orisa situation in terms of comp where he pairs best with a more divier style with Sojourn/Genji rather than the brawlier Mei/Reaper stuff. Mauga will do fine with both but probably lacks the sustain (likewise to queen) to live through a Mei wall cycle - Running in and shouting + Genji pressure is pretty reminiscent from the Queen meta Summer 2022.

I like using cage fight as a zoning tool. Cutting off support to the other tank by caging them, aggressively taking space and ulting no one to have a massive shield while doing poke damage, and even to deny cc like ana nade while trying to walk forward. The nature of his ult gives it a lot of use cases, and you build cage fight so fast that using it to gain an advantage instead of holding it for the "best" use case is actually better imo.

Love the video. If I may share some of my knowledge with mauga since I love the character and its one of my tank mains. Actually rammatra has the most range as he has no fall off. You can CC overrun at the very start of the animation. Its happened to me soooo many times. Tip id you use overrun and cardiac overdrive you can get 90% damage reduction. But given it last for 3 seconds thats enough to escape if done correctly. A ulting brig for me isnt hard. With cardiac overdrive timed correctly can easily melt her. If she does use her shield more than attacking than you pretty much countered her ult even if soft counter. Orisa can easily destroy your abilities. Overrun she can javlin at the very start and screws you over. Cardiac for sure gets shut down hard. I wouldnt say its that normal fight but it can be normal if played correctly.

I keep accidentally using cage fight defensively as in i was using it with people.outside so i had cover to shoot back in instead of trapping enemies. Any tips to avoid that?

Just don't press his Q defensively, there are no tips to prevent you from using an ability incorrectly lmao

Question: Mauga's gun does crit to enemies who are on fire. If he headshots an enemy who is on fire is that 4x damage?

Nope, you just do the normal 2x damage. The fire basically just makes the entire enemy hitbox into a head hotbox for the right gun. The left gun can also headshot so you could theoretically crit with both guns and do 360 dps + 15 from the burn.

Everyone's opinion on mauga? Op or ok? Personally I think they over buffed him a bit I think they should give him 1.5x crit damage because he's literally easy mode for crit damage and then maybe reduce the lifesteal by a little bit

Disagree with the Sigma Matchup. With proper ability rotation, sigma has all of his 3 abilities to deny cardiac overdrive.
