For a Japanese made titanium frame with Maui Jim lenses, this isn't expensive at all. I would say it's rather cheap compared to other brands. How much is a Ray-Ban titanium frame with Chromance lenses or an Oliver Peoples titanium with their nothing special lenses?

I have 3 different pairs of maui jim titanium (the Aeko is one of them) and I bought a pair of RB titanium that I forgot the model, I immediately returned them. Comparatively the RB felt brittle like the bridge was going to break, and the RB was significantly more expensive. Very surprised. Partly, the RB uses glass lenses even in the titanium which made them extremely front heavy and the lenses actually hung down when on the face and there was a flex at the bridge that was noticeable.

Secret tip: if you customize the sunglasses and order it with a non-standard lens colour, they'll become MauiBrilliant. Far better clarity and scratch resistance than MauiPure , for the same price.

@sanasainani9098 Good point but both the MauiPure and MauiBrilliant are very lightweight plastic lenses so the weight difference is barely noticeable.

non-standard as in none of the stock colors that are options? Blue Hawaii is "standard" here, by your definition?

​@temujen Yes, so if you order this frame with Neutral Grey, Blue Hawaii, HCL Bronze or Hawaii Lava lenses they'll only be MauiPure. But for example customize this frame with Maui Rose, MauiGreen, Maui Sunrise, they'll all be MauiBrilliant.
