Maui Moisture Curl Foam Mousse

I was nervous about trying this mousse, but my curls look great!! However, I decided not to use the mousse on its own after reading comments. I forgot to put my leave in conditioner in though. I sectioned my hair and applied the mousse, and then I used my gel and the praying hands method to make sure I got a good cast. I blew it dry about 80% cause it was too late last night. I scrunched it out this morning before work, and my curls look so good. I'll see how they look tomorrow! 🤞🏼

I tried it with a curl cream first, then the maiu mousse then topped it off with a little bit of gel, diffused and my results were perfect.

I’ve tried this myself and I find it works really well with the curling cream. But by itself I can understand why it didn’t work too well. I don’t think it’s meant to be by itself.

In the directions it says to use it by itself but using a cream with it is a really good idea imma have to try 💓💓💓

Should I put a leave in with this or just the mousse on its own? I have kinkier hair than you (4a) so idk if the mousse would be enough on its own

I've been needing a new mousse because my hair was starting to feel kind of waxy when I wash. If that makes sense. It could be a combo of the products I use no longer all working well together for me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I've tried a few mousses and bought this one today, before seeing your video. I will definitely continue to use my leave in conditioner before trying this mousse tonight and will hopefully get good results. I have 3b curls. Has anyone had a good turn out with the same curl pattern? 😬🤞🏼

oh noo🥺 Im so sorry!!! Keep trying different combos I like the curlsmith mousse , alikay naturals mousee , mielle mousse and the not your mothers mouuse I have video of all 5 mousses on my channnel 💓 let me know how everything works out!

It definitely could but I personally do not recommend it. The foam does not have enough hold in my opinion.

I second the DO NOT RECOMMEND! I'm never one to really hate a product, but man this did shit to my hair! Normally I can deal with a product until my next wash day, but I suffered until day 3 until I finally and oh so satisfyingly washed it out. So sticky, gunky, rats nesty... Lol just plain old awful. I was wondering if it was just me, but GIRL, when I saw your hair in the future you edit clip, I knew you had the same fate as me 😂😂😂
