Olly, Good to see the beans going in. Beans, unlike any other crop, have every will in the world to live so fingers crossed for you. I remember years ago coming down the road in the winter and seeing a 12 acre field of oats that were just coming through nicely black with Rooks. They wrote the crop off in an afternoon. I shall look forward to seeing the beans coming through in due course. P

Oh and a happy birhday Martin ;)

Well done for getting a bit of drilling done! Now you just need a ton of optimism because If it’s not too wet or too dry, crows or pigeons, government policy or poor prices, expensive costs or high interest rates, fly-tipping or kids on bikes, there’s plenty against us farmers. You’re doing a great job putting it all out there, whilst staying positive and keeping it entertaining. Good luck! Running at 90% Happy Easter 🐣 to you and the team 👍

You have a great staff Ollie. Maybe a vid for chat with them. What they love and hate about agriculture, favourite tractors, that kinda thing. Also, more Ian jokes

I did the same thing to my tractor steps but with checker plating to stop my dog breaking it leg back in the early 00’s worked really well and she was able to get in and out herself

Hi Olly you have a great set of lads working for you..The quad track came along just at the right time so that you can get some crops in the ground...you need to get the lads who shoot the pigeons to go on the field that the crow's are hitting and that will help with keeping them off the crop.....😀😀😀40%

Thought about the Quadtrak's mirrors - You can get ABS (plastic) mirror guards for tipper trucks, and the Q's mirrors look to be a similar size. so maybe worth investigating? Buggy at 5x speed sounds like an angry wasp with my speakers. 😀 And thanks again to everyone who's supported the Air Ambulance. 95% today; not out and Scotland lost to France in the Women's 6 Nations (but it was a good game. No idea who Ingurlandshire were playing or if they were on tv.)

I still recall being sent to buy a replacement steel tine for the Ransomes tool bar rigid cultivator from the dealership in about 1965 for sixteen pounds, I nearly fell over backwards when the store man told me what it cost. I have just looked on my inflation calculator on my ipad and its 365 pounds now. , i would say to be fair about twice as much forged steel involved but i always felt ripped off, but what can you do. Those tracks on the tractor are a wonderful idea, the Psi must be less than a foot print.

Wouldn’t it an idea to mount extra beacons on the front “bumper” by the marker boards or just the OS because oncoming traffic may not notice roof mounted ones!
