Maureen was one terrific actress. She clearly was a down to earth human being. Wonderful to watch this.

She absolutely was a terrific comedic and dramatic actress. Her performance in Interiors was wonderful, and her cameo in The Money Pit is absolutely hilarious.

Even though Ms. Stapleton had a very well-respected film career, if it hadn't been for the fear of flying, and she'd been able to travel to Hollywood more frequently, I can imagine what other film roles she might have been cast in. .....I wonder if Maureen and Carroll ever appeared together in a play, since he'd been a prolific New York stage actor prior to "All In the Family".

This was just after she was Oscar nominated for Interiors- which she should have won for.

She had quite a bit of phobias, including flying and elevators.

Interesting having Maureen sitting next to Carroll O'Connor, whose "All in the Family" co-star Jean Stapleton was NOT related to Maureen.
@jnadle12 жыл бұрын
That's because Jean's last name was Murray, but she wound up taking her mother's original last name of Stapleton.

What they did have in common was that they were both absurdly talented, amazing actresses.

I once saw a Jeopardy episode where they had a category devoted to Maureen, and the first clue chosen was about Jean, and the first contestant incorrectly responded, "Who is Edith Stapleton?".
