Mannn he was something else!! I wish he didn’t throw it all away. He could’ve been a BEAST in the NFL..

Him and Terry Caulley were kneck and kneck all year for the title of leading rusher their freshman years of college. Terry Caulley (Uconn) and Maurice Clarrett (Ohio State)

I think everybody forgot about Paul Warfield! A hall of famer that came out of Warren G. Harding.

Maurice Clarett was a GREAT HS player and I'm not trying to take away from that, but some of those runs up the middle.... did you see how wide the lane is!

Initially thought it was the lack of a quality opponent. But as the competition got tougher, Maurice got tougher, with/without blocking. Maybe he should have picked a different number than 13.

@@drumsport yeah he probably should’ve. It’s disheartening how a lot of the high profile high school athletes have one foot on the field/court and the other foot in the streets. It’s even more disheartening that their “friends” recognize their athleticism and won’t or aren’t able to deter them from the streets. Like, he’s the meal ticket for his family and possibly a lot of his friends. They should’ve protected him at all costs even if it meant protecting him from himself.

''No doubt about it..Maurice Clarett, and Ted Bell..were two outstanding football running backs from the Youngstown Ohio area,... in looking at some of the runs here Maurice either runs over players or around them!! Some even look scared to tackle him!!

Y’all had to be there live to understand the electricity he put through the stadium. Any play could have been taken to the house against the best team or the worst, didn’t matter

Ohio. The cradle of football. Then CA, then FLA, then PA, then maybe TX.

he is surrounded by an excellent team that does a great job of blocking for him, but that doesn't diminish from his big play ability and speed
@buckeyeboard116311 жыл бұрын
There actually isn't a * by OSU's 2002 NC. He wasn't in trouble with anything until after his Freshman year.

7 years later and I’ll still tell I this comment is fucking retarded . He didn’t get in any trouble until after the season .
@PrideofPelly12 жыл бұрын
How many games have you watched in the state of Texas? You just chose some random criteria to throw out there to make it seem like you have some sort of knowledgeable opinion on the matter.

I hope that Maurice is doing well. Ohio State used him to win a 'National Title' and then threw him away.
