@@jeanwalters7576I like what you said except your last statement. I don't think drinking had anything to do with his early death. He died from having a twisted intestine from birth, that the hospital's negligence ended up causing complications which caused him to go septic and his blood supply to be cut off. That and the amount of pain that he suffered caused cardiac arrest. Then they went ahead and did the surgery anyways after having had the cardiac arrest.

Yes. It is too bad that many people did not begin to appreciate Maurice’s contribution to the group until after he died. After he got sober and stayed sober his talent was obvious. After his death, Barry was right when he felt it could never be the Bee Gees without Maurice. I can only imagine what might have been if he had never been a heavy drinker. And I agree with Lynn, he was “utterly charming.” His mom once said that when the boys were younger he was “always everyone’s mate.” It is clear to see that was very true.

This wonderful man finally had his life going in the right direction and then not long after this his life was over. I am happy that Maurice was able to fight this and show his family the good side of him and have these wonderful moments before he passed on. Maurice Gibb, you died way too soon. @maddielanghi36183 жыл бұрын
You’re an idiot. Those parents work those kids to death from the time they were five years old, the twins and Barry was nine. They had to support the family. Why do you think Maurice drank so much because he was molested by a stripper when he was nine years old in a dressing room, while not being supervised by his parents. Robin had 1 million affairs and a child out of wedlock because of how he was raised. The only reason Barry was on the up and up was because his wife Linda was a strong woman. Their older sister Leslie had a baby out of wedlock Because she was a stripper to help support the family. When they lived in Australia they moved 22 times because the father never paid rent he just skipped out and they moved in the middle of the night. The Gibb parents are losers.
