pattern matching is not actually very hard to do, but it takes a LOT more fabric per item of clothing, which is why you never see it in cheap clothes.

As a unwashed plebeian I never thought I'd be interested in bespoke tailoring. Andrew somehow has that 'it' factor which draws you in. His voice, personality, style, mannerism and passion for his craft really sell the image of a true professional. If I had the money and needed a suit he'd be my go to guy. I'm not sure if faith stepped in, but 2 days after watching this video, a button on my shorts fell off. I used this method for sowing it back on, and it worked amazingly! It feels a LOT stronger and robustly attached than before :)

My teacher taught me this exact technique when I was 12, I never appreciated her efforts, but she was a smart woman. I also iron my thread after waxing, but I was doing it to iron out the wax and twist, I hadn't realised it strengthened the thread too. A wonderful tutorial, thank you

I never thought of waxing my threads before re-attaching buttons to my old jacket and usually never left a neck/shank on them, always wondering why they would be so tight. gorgeous fabric! Love traditional patterns that use non-traditional colors! This would make great pillow coverings for a sofa or chair...even arm chairs covered in this fabric would be beautiful.
