hello!! im mauritanian and i dont think you'll have alot of issues lol, i see alot of non hijabis in nouakchott and no one really cares. The most anyone will do is stare or give u a nasty look 😭

Hello ebony even though you can live alone there I wouldn’t recommend it better to have a friend with you. You don’t need to wear hijab and can wear pants but just be mindful of the culture and dress modestly ❤ Hope you enjoy your stay there.
