Today i share you
The Mauritian recipe of sweet vermicelli garnished with raisins and badam (my way).
Ingredients
300g of vermicelli
1tbsp ghee or butter
2 tbsp of raisins
2 tbsp slivered almonds
15 lightly split cardamoms (or less)
500ml of water
6 tbsp of sugar (you can add 2 more tbsp if you want)
In your saucepan, melt the butter then add the raisins, slivered almonds, cardamom and brown them well.
Add the vermicelli and mix to scorch them a little then add the water and sugar to mix everything well then coupvray and cook over heat until the vermicelli are cooked and there is no more liquid .
You can add a little more water if you find that the vermicelli are not well cooked.
you can garnish them with a some raisins, almonds and grated coconut ❤️😍

To note:
You can add the water and sugar before the vermicelli if you are using already toasted noodles.
I like them darker that's why I scorched them a bit before including water.
You can add a cinnamon stick also
