but is it possible to use the switch to put it in sleep mode so as to avoid having to boot each time?

The product looks great and is the only thing I've been able to find that does what it does in a simple form, but I wish it had either a higher power out put version, or a version where you supply your own converter and it just handles the switching. The only other complaint I have is the price, at the time of writing this it's $35.99 that the price of the pi itself.

Did you do a follow up on the dimming? Curious how you worked the TNS in or if you just used a photosensor.

How many amps was that power supply delivering? I just tried my mausberry 4 amp circuit using a 12v, 4A power supply and the pi would just keep on rebooting, which clearly means that it wasn't getting enough current. I still have to try it with my car's battery...I just fear I wasted a lot of money on something that's not doing what it is supposed to 😔😔😔

Can't get mine to boot. It shows the multi colored screen than just shuts off. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Is there a way to run 2 touchscreens on the same megasquirt with different screens on ts? For instance the gauge cluster would have the gauges you selected while the 2nd screen displays maps? Well above my megasquirt skill level.

Sadly not at the moment. There are several guys working on it, but not at the moment. You can run say the LCD hat and a separate display, but it's clunky and you run into weird resolution issues.

Noticed that you mentioned one wire should be wired up to constant power...Wouldn't this drain the car battery?
@BrianEssersGarage5 жыл бұрын
No, there’s almost no drain. However having some time with these, I can’t recommend them. Their quality is less than desirable and the creator is less than helpful.

Mine seems to switch the pi off while it still has power (switched power on) after about a minute. Any ideas? Thanks for the video!
@BrianEssersGarage5 жыл бұрын
Do you have the 2 additional wires hooked up to the Pi’s GPiO and the script installed? I’ve heard others have had this issue.
@blacknblue15034 жыл бұрын
Also having that issue, anyone able to fix this?
@blacknblue15034 жыл бұрын
I was able to get the 90 second shutdown issue fixed by installing the script from Mausberry while the Pi was plugged into the wall (to keep the power on) then shutting down and installing the pi and Mausberry circuit into the car per Mausberry instructions. I think their instructions make it sound like the script can be installed after the physical install which is what I did first incorrectly
@badlilstang7 жыл бұрын
Is this a safe shutdown? It looks like it just slammed it off and killed power.. I didn't see it go through a proper safe shutdown..
@BrianEssersGarage7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's the best method for shutdown. It runs a batch script to shutdown the Pi. It doesn't just cut power. That's the point of the switch setup.
@badlilstang7 жыл бұрын
That's what I thought it's supposed to do.. I ordered one for a CarPC audio setup.

I think you'll be happy with it. It's fairly easy to setup.

Can the car key be used instead of the switch?
@BrianEssersGarage6 жыл бұрын
With my setup the ignition key controls the power to the Mauseberry. Though you could just turn it off and on with the ignition switch. Some guys have good luck, others have experienced file corruption.
