I've had a black .380 model since 1969-70 and have carried it off/on duty over 50 years. Still a great gun with never a problem.

Picked one up recently. 01. 4262. Excellent condition. Reminds me of the Walther PPK and the Sig 232. Sharp looking gun.

Good Video, I worked for Interarms as a armorer from 1979 to 1983. Sam died in 1998 in Monaco at his home and Interarms closed shortly after that in mid 1999 I think. Sam really didn't sell arms directly to Castro but he did supply Batista with arms that ended up in the hands of Castro by default in 1959 including one shipment of new AR-10 rifles, the story around Interarms back in the day was that he actually sent Castro a note wanting payment for the AR-10s don't know if that's true or just rumor

If you got a HSC Mauser for around $300 then my friend,you got a steal. It’s a beautiful handgun, extremely well-made and a joy to shoot. Definitely worth more than twice what you paid for it. Congratulations on your find.

The barrel isn't floating like a Browning , it's locked to the lower receiver when put together, the fixed barrel helps accuracy. The spring around the barrel is of course a lot stronger than the .32ACP version.

An interesting device is that if you insert a magazin with the slide back and the safety down, the slide will go in battery AND decock the hammer. You find this in the original WW2 HSc but Mauser had to drop it when Walther sued them for patent infringement in1942. The device was reintroduced in post-war production as patents were not a problem anymore.

I did not know it was once imported by Interarms, but I found out that it only was available in .380 after the war, the post-war production bein easily recognizable by the different stock pattern.

TIP - By now I'm sure someone has told you how to close the slide from the open position without a magazine in the pistol. Useful information when you only have one magazine or when changing the carry condition. Without a magazine inserted and with the slide locked open and safety on - pull the trigger rearward and the slide rearward and release together in unison with a snapping release. Slide should now be in closed position but remember that the hammer is now cocked. Once the magazine is installed back in the pistol the hammer can then be safely and cautiously lowered by thumb travel.

Or you can just quickly slide the slide all the way back and release quickly😉, it has to be done fast, dont pause or else it wont work

beautifull piece ! its so european that holster perfect for a oficers carry , rare conbo because the gun is clearly comercial and the holster is MP stile .

got one just like this one great gun, the only thing just 7 rounds mine is in the twenty some thousands ser# a good shooter I would not take 500 bucks for mine never let me down always works well I carry it a lot I would by them all day long for 300 bucks if you got it for 300 most likely stolen
