Why has your barrel been wrapped in tape for 20 years?

Short answer lazy, lifd changes, marriage, ran out of time, never finished it. I have approx 80 rounds of 280remington for breaking but never bed the action nor finished the stock work

@kfelix2934 oh yeah I can relate brother. I have Grandma's Custom small ring 1894 MAUSER with Flaigs Ace 7x57mm medium contour 26" barrel that was installed August 3rd 1958. It sat in my closet for 15 years until I found a nice stock on the 3rd try. I glass bedded it and zeroed it then shot some groups. I shot a deer with it first time out under 2 hours sitting in the woods. The moral of the story is don't let the time go by without getting what you want done.
