The thing about the Vortex is they include many accessories that cost money; instead, Maven puts its money into the glass and let the consumer sort out cases and bags.

valid point! To each their own on the preferences there.

Awesome review! I am currently hesitating between these and Vortex razor 12x50. Since it looks like they’re kind of in the same category, which one would you rank superior for overall built quality and IQ?

I have both and have compared them. I’d get the mavens hands down between the 2. Much better glass in the maven. Better in low light and less CA in the mavens.

Which better optics and brighter this or B2?
@east2westhunts Жыл бұрын
B2 is going to give you a little more light due to the prism system but they are damn close. Personally, if I was to grab one, id be taking the B6 due to the ergonomics and still, high quality glass. You can’t go wrong with either. I just prefer the B6 weight, size and how it fits in a bino harness comparatively.

I currently own Nikon 12x50 Action EX & before I got this I had the 16x50 ones, have you noticed massive light reflection issues around the edges too due to the Multi-coated lenses as opposed to Fully Multi-coated that is supposed to eliminate that issue?

I haven’t had the issues of reflection with the Mavens. Overall, they have been a fantastic add to the collection.

@@east2westhunts Have you used the Nikon Action Ex series, what do you think about them? any detailed reason you like or dislike them.
@east2westhunts Жыл бұрын
@@Sir-Kay I have used them. I thought for the price, they were really good. Pros were that you have solid depth of view and they were brighter than expected. Cons, I didn’t like the width and weight of them. Also, during dusk/dawn, they left me desiring more. I think it all depends on what you’re using them for and if they are good for your application. I prefer something that can fit inside of my binocular harness and give me some great low light performance. I can’t say this is a fair apples to apples comparison as they do have a substantial difference in cost as well.
